Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Sourav, Namaste This is what I have from Visnu Dharmottara Khanda II Chapter 167, the chapter on Jataka. Mars: Kshatriya of Kala. He has his face towards the South if Vakra. He is strong in the South, in Krishnapaksha. Mercury: Vac of Kala. He has his face towards the North is is strong at all times in the North. If vakra, he is strong in shuklapaksha. Saturn: Is the difficult servant of Kala. He faces towards the sky and is strong in that direction at night. If vakra, he is strong in shuklapaksha. Note: The parampara teaches that Ketu indicates the direction of the sky. It looks like Saturn can also indicate the direction of the sky. However, the rasis Makara and Kumbha indicate other directions. Venus and Jupiter have been left out. If someone has this book (I have the 2 books from the University of Baroda, Gujarat, India), I desperately need help in translations from the 2nd paragraph of the same chapter for additional information on vargas in vastu references; Laksmi Ramesh, perhaps? Thank you. love, Swee sweechan On Monday, August 14, 2006, at 00:40AM, Sourav <souravc108 wrote: > ><<Original Attached>> || Hare Rama Krsna || Dear Friends, Namaskar. Recently, I have been reading a short book titled Retrograde Planets by Grace Inglis, Sagar Publications ($7.00 / Rs. 50.00). This book candidly deals with the subject of Retrograde grahas (including Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) from perspective of both Western and Eastern astrologers and presents view points of well-known jyotishis. It also carries several chart discussions. It is clear that there is a lot of confusion in predictions when a graha gets retrograde (i.e. going opposite to the direction of the Luminaries) and this clearly shows up in the quotations and opinions of various authors. Hope you may find this reference useful. Best wishes, Sourav ================================================================
