My office colleague's father is bed ridden by the lumbar spinal cancer problem since 2 years. All in their family are worried, when he could be relieved posibly by the end of life, as otherwise there is no cure in medicine and the operation is of very high risk and cost intensive. Neither the patient nor his son (my colleague) has the horoscope and the only chart available is the chart of the son of my colleague, from where we may see the longevity of the grand-father. Grandson : Mr. K. Aravinda March 31, 1994 01:30 Hrs, Bangalore (77E36, 12N51), India I tried to cast the chart and read as follows. The Lagna of Grand-father (GF) is Aries (9th to 9th). The dasha run is Sat-Rahu at present. Lagna lord (GF) - Mars in conjunction with 11L-Sat and 6L-Merc, placed in 11H (badhaka house). Thus, Sat dasha seems to be bad for GF. Rahu falls in 8H from Aries with Moon, thus Rahu dasha poses dangers for GF's life. Moon is in MKS. 8L-Mars as said is in a badhaka sthana. The vimshottari dasha of sat-Rahu poses danger of life for GF. The narayan dasha is of Libra-Taurus from 29-9-2006 to 31-03-2006. Libra sign is the maraka sign for GF which has retro Jupiter as 12L. 6H from Libra has Sun, which has given GF a great fighting power with the disease. Trikonas are occupied with the malefic Mars-Saturn, thus bad. 8H has Ketu, bad for longevity. Pak lagna is Aries itself, which has the combination of Sat+Mars in badhaka sign, as said. The Arudha of the dasha sign is in Cancer, which is the 8th house from the AL of GF-Sagitt. Thus, it seems, there is a danger of life in Libra dasha. Looking to the Taurus AD in Libra dasha. From Taurus, AL-GF is in 8th house while Taurus is itself the maraka sign for Aries (Lagna for GF). Lord of Taurus-Venus falls in maraka sign from Libra dasha sign. With this primary analysis, can we say that the demise of GF may take place in Libra-Taurus dasha ? Please correct me and also help me to validate the matter from Shoola dasha etc, if it helps to validate for better consensus. Your kind help is requested.
