Guest guest
TUSHANKUR SAROHA 27 July 2006 To 06:25 PM ZE5B sohamsa cc " Ajay Zharotia " <ajayzharotia, " Sanjay Rath " <sanjayrath, sarbani, Sathish K, visti Subject Raam Raam - why not Shiv Shiv Namaste Members My apologies to post non-astrological mail - but one of my friend, just out of curiosity, asked why we greet each other as 'Raam-Raam' and not something else, like 'Shiv-Shiv' or 'Brahma-Brahma'. He says that it must have a mythological story behind it. We talked about Raam as Vishnu avataar & Vishnu being the Protector, about 'Raam-Raam' is opposite of 'Mara-Mara' in Sanskrit/Hindi that reminds us again & again that this physical body is going to dust sooner or later and so understand our 'REAL SELF', etc. We talked about greeting each other as 'Jai Raamji Ki', 'Radhe-Radhe' or 'Hari Om' - all again *somehow* relates to Vishnu. Any insight? Thanks Tushankur Saroha PS: Please no Shivite/Vaishnavite debate intended.
