Dear List

In the matter of predicting the direction from which one's spouse will

come, do we use the sign of Upapada, the 7th house in rashi or 7th

house in navamsa? Also, do we consider the direction relative to the

birth place or the current place of residence? For example, if someone

was born in India but now lives in Australia, and the indication in

the birth chart is that the spouse will come from the western

direction, do we say west of India or Australia?

Dear Raja,

Namaskar. If I remember correctly, Narasimha-ji takes this in Navamsa. Grahas in the 7th house from Shukra shows persons who will be 'key' to bringing the spouse to the native. If no grahas take lord and if more than one, take the dominant one. The sign of the house where the lord of the 7th from Shukra sits shows the distance. The Lord will show the direction. I may be wrong in quoting Guru-ji and depending on memory. In any case these rules work most of the time but not 100%. Take present reference of the person because lagna is always present reference and present status.

Best wishes,

Sourav

Dear Friends,

In continuation of the query raised by Sri Raja on the location of

the spouse,I am studying a similar situation.

I am actively involved in search of a suitable life partner for a

young man .A normally resident of Mumbai, was born in

Kakinada ,Andhra, brought up in childhood, educated, worked in Mumbai

only. In Oct 2002, joined an MNC directly at London, and working

there since.

My question is for drawing his chart, which is his place of stay,

Kakinada,Mumbai or London.

His Venus, Saturn is placed in 7th,vrishabha,Vrischika lagna.Mars

is placed in Karka Rasi, Chara sign,Ketu conjoined Lord of Vrischika

is placed also in Karka.along with Moon and Mercury, total 4 planets

in karka.Navamsa Lagna is Kumbha,Venus,Moon in Simha.

As per my understanding of Sri S.Rath's inspiring lectures, the

boy's spouse should come from distant place(chara)due Mars/Ketu. and

North,7th being watery sign, Karka(placement of 7th lords).

If my interpretation is right, the North is with reference to

Kakinada,birth place.

Could knowledgeable friends guide me.

Regards,

Satish
