Today I have started discussing chapters in BPHS (Brihat Paaraasara Horaa Saastram) in my Sunday classes at Boston. I started with the chapter on Argala. I have interpreted the verses of Parasara to the best of my ability and presented *my understanding* of how argala is supposed to be used *as per Parasara*. If you are interested, please download lesson 83 on the site given below in my signature. Seshu will probably upload it in the next few days. We have used a new MP3 recorder and the quality should be a lot better than in the past lessons. Guest guest
|om| Dear Narasimha, I thought Guru Poornima was tomorrow (11th July)! I offer my humble pranaams to the rishis and all the Gurus who have guided me. I say a small prayer to Lord Jagannath that I may find a diksha guru in this antardasa of a planet which is in the 7th from karakamsa in my natal chart. I have one request; at office I am not allowed to download anything related to astrology. So may I request you or the SJC Boston students to write a short note on your translation/comments about the argala chapter in BPHS. I have one question: how useful do you find the quarter, half and three-quarters aspect (dristi) of all the planets? I was wondering if there is any connection between this and argala? best regards Hari On 7/9/06, Narasimha P.V.R. Rao <pvr wrote: Namaste friends, Happy Guru Pournima to all of you.
