Dear Gurus,

I have two questions regarding planetary influences and insect-born diseases.

1. Are insect-born diseases, like Lyme disease, malaria, and West Nile

Virus, caused by the influence of Rahu or Ketu or both?

2. Is there a difference in the planetary influence if the insect-born

infection is due to a bacteria, a protozoa (parasite), or a virus? For example,

Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria (spirochete), malaria by a protozoa, and

West Nile by a virus.

If someone could assist me with an answer to these two questions, I would

appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Best Wishes,

Susan

Dear Susan,

I dont know the answer really,

But there are several ways to look at it,

scorpio is an insect sign, and mars can be looked at for blood

related.

As with most diseases if affects several parts/systems in the body

and there is no one criterion, so you may have to look for several

indications.

Good idea is to check in charts of people with diseases.

Ive been interested in this as well.I know a few people with Lymes I

will ask them for their birth data.

Rahu and Ketu also are seen when diseases are hard to diagnose. Rahu

is associated with disease in general, infections and cancer. But Ketu

is more accidents or a results of mistakes. Not sure about its

disease propensities.

IN one of b.v ramans books he talks about the signs and diseases, etc

will try and look it up.

take care,

Lakshmi

Dear Lakshmi,

Thanks so much for your reply to my question.

Lyme disease is both interesting and complicated, because it effects multiple

systems in the body. It damages the immune system and the endocrine system.

It most frequently causes inflammatory and neurological symptoms (central and

peripheral), but also can effect the skin, GI tract, bladder, respiratory

system, and heart. It involves multiple planetary influences: Mercury for

neurological problems, Venus for endocrine problems, Mars for inflammatory

problems

(muscles and joints), and perhaps also Saturn. (Is this correct?) It causes

immune deficiency and immune disregulation (autoimmunity and allergic

disorders). Are immune problems ruled by Mercury, because they are regulatory?

Or

does another planet rule these type of immune disorders?

I suspected an influence of the nodes, particularly Rahu, for several

reasons. First, Lyme can be very difficult to diagnose. It is " deceptive " in

that

it mimics the symptoms of many other illnesses. The antibody tests that are

used to diagnose the illness frequently show false negative results, because it

damages the immune system, making it unable to produce antibodies to the

infection. The spirochete also literally " hides " in tissue (brain, skin,

joints,

organs), making it difficult to detect directly by culture or DNA testing, and

difficult to reach and treat with antibiotics. For this reason, it has been

called a " stealth " infection. Also, the spirochete flourishes in the most

acidic parts of cells, areas that are toxic to most other bacteria. This makes

it

immune to many antibiotics, which work by creating an acidic environment to

kill the bacteria. Its tolerance for high acid environments that are toxic to

other bacteria, made me think that Rahu could be having an influence, since

Rahu rules toxins. I do not know which planet rules acidic environments.

Perhaps Mars?

Ketu seems to cause illnesses that are difficult to diagnose, because they

are vague or veiled in some way. Rahu seems to cause illnesses that are

difficult to diagnose because they are unusual, poorly understood, hidden (like

cancer), " stealthy " , or deceptive in some way. What do you think?

Lyme disease is carried by ticks, but is caused by a combination of several

tick-born bacteria and parasites. It is difficult to diagnose and treat and

becomes chronic in a high percentage of those who are infected. That is why I

wondered which planet rules insects and other " vermin " , and diseases that are

transmitted by insects.

I would be very interested in doing a study on Lyme disease. If you have

chart data for people with Lyme disease, please post it or email it to me

privately. Also, let me know what you find in B.V. Raman.

Thanks so much for your response and your interest.

Best Wishes,

Susan
