Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, Dear Robert, Narasimha, and Dr. Varma, I have learned from Sanjayji to look at Shani's transit in Astakavarga, as well as Vimsottari dasa entry charts for transits to time serious chronic illnesses such as cancer/autoimmune disorders. These work well for these type of cases, but the entry charts only work at the maha dasa level for some reason. I think that Tithi Pravesh may be helpful for sudden serious events that happen rarely or only once in a person's life, like a stroke or Robert's injury. My studies are showing that medical Jyotish is just as complex as the human body/mind itself. Take stroke, for example. It starts as a clot in a blood vessel, which cuts off blood flow/oxygen to the brain, causing brain injury. This can lead to loss of speech, cognition, or paralyses in any part of the body. So how would it show up in a chart? Blood vessel, brain injury, lack of speech? We'd have to look at a bunch of charts to get a clue, and even then, I doubt that there will be one simple easy thing that all the charts have in common. Perhaps Dr. Varma could help us here in gathering some good charts for study -- Astro Databank shows 113 charts of stroke victims with birth data rated A or AA, but its much better to use charts of patients we are actually working with. The data is cleaner, more detailed and accurate and working with charts of people we have a connection withis much better for me. Anyway that's my preference. Dr. Varma, we spoke a bit about this in Delhi-- maybe now is a good time for us to organize some real research into this area. What do you think? My only question would be that Vimsottari or other naksatra dasa entry charts are too sensitive to the natal birth time error to be really useful. There is much less of a likelihood of birth time errors affecting rasi dasa entry charts, such as Narayana or Shoola dasa, however. Have you experimented with these? Anyway, naksatra dasa entry charts would assume that the opening dasa is exactly correct (i.e. to within 2 hour's maximum error, to give a correct lagna at least).
