Om Sri Gurubhyo Namah

Dear Gurus

I read in your post on

http://sanjayprabhakaran.blogspot.com/2005/12/atmakaraka-in-alarudha-

lagna.html, that " There is a dictum which states that the Sun in the

1st or 7th house in Aries/Libra - native is abandoned by parents. "

This is post by Rath-ji on AK in AL.

Could you please tell me the source of the this dictum.

Thanks very much and pranaams.

Dear Krupa,

If you do find the source, could you please post the exact translation

of this dictum? Is there something more to the " abandonment " part? I

think I have seen this in a girl (wife's relative) who I think had

exalted Saturn in the first and exalted Sun in the 7th. I believe that

sometime in her vimshottari Sun dasha she suddenly left home to serve a

Guru in India with the encouragement of her parents. I dont think she's

come back

yet (in the past few years). She showed no inkling of such behavior

when my wife and I had met her (she seemed to show average American

teenager behavior).

I have people even closer to me who have this combination, and I am

really interested in knowing for what purpose this " abandonment "

happens? Is it related to spiritual pursuit or disappointment with

parents or what?

Thanks

Sundeep

Pranaams Sanjay-ji

I checked up an online version of sankethanidhi at

http://www.brihaspati.net/sankhetanidhi.htm.

The only relevant verse was in Sanketa 3:

24. If Sun be in 7th, Mars in 10th and Rahu in 12th house, the native

would lose his parents. If in this combination (i.e. with Sun in 7th

and Mars in 10th), Rahu and Jupiter are placed in 6t,h, 1st or 4th

house, the parents of the native would die within 24 Years of his age

and the native would be held responsible for it.

This is not exactly same as the dictum.

I will try to look for this in baalaarishta combinations with other

classics. But unfortunately it is difficult without some additional

clues.

Please guide with me any other information you have on this.

Kind regards.

I checked up an online English version of sankethanidhi and other

classics at http://www.brihaspati.net/sankhetanidhi.htm.

The only relevant verses are in Sanketa 3.

But what you are looking for is a more spirituality related

area. Influence of Guru and AK and others need to be seen.

Kind regards.

I was trying to look for this dictum in BPHS through the online

version.

http://www.astrojyoti.com/bphspage5.htm

Somehow I am not able to locate this exact dictum. I was trying to

search for it in chapter 43 in BPHS which deals with Baalarishta and

other longevity issues.

Could you please help me with finding this sloka.

Kind regards.

Dear Sanjay Ji

Is it 'abandoned by parents', or it can be 'staying away from parents' from a young age.I gave a chart of person with exalted Sun in Lagna who left home at the age of 10 for studies.

Dear

Jagmeet, Namaskar

This

depends on the Dvadasamsa. Example: If the lagna is Pisces or Leo, then the

person will not see their father from birth itself... jataka parijata.

The

principles given in Sanjayjis Dvadasamsa article should be applied in this

regard.

Pranaams Visti-ji

Thank you very much.

I just happened to bounce into your reply. Chapter 11, sloka 27th

states that:

" The child will be deprived of the mother's milk and will live on the

milk of a She goat when the Sun in exalted or debilitated in the 7th

house " .

So this rule would apply to Libra and Aries Lagnas. But does this

mean that for a Libra lagna person the sun would have to be placed in

the 7th house and not in the 1st.

I guess a supporting sloka to this would be the sloka no 40 from the

same chapter.

Kind regards.

Dear Krupa, Namaskar

When i was taught this sloka, i was taught that it applies to both Lagna and

Arudha lagna. I.e. See Sri Ramas chart where he was exhiled for 14 years!

Jiddu Krishnamurty also saw seperation from his mother early in life and

later his father as well.

However, in these cases the event did not happen from birth hence there are

certain riders for the dvadasamsa lagna.
