Guest guest
Dear Sourav, Your questions are normal and one should know the answers. I suggest you read two chapters on varga's in BPHS and and book on varga chakra edited by Sanjay Rath and my article on vargottma navamsha published in our house magazine. then all the questions raised by you will get clarified slowly. 1) kindly remember 3 factors are required to make prediction a) rashi b) planet c) bhava(house) Rashi chart is first examined as rashi chart only to asses various yogas formed in nativity. there affect will be predicted with the help of bhava chart. Parashar indicated 16 bhava charts in which rashi chart also acts as one of the bhava charts. 2) deep exultaion and debilitation points are given to asses the effort level of a planet regards G.K. There is an intuitive understanding of why a particular rasi is causing exaltation/debility of a graha. However, I would like to know why particular degrees are given for Deep exaltation/debilitation. Does it have something to do with vargas? (1) For example, Surya is in deep exaltation at 10 deg. in Mesha rasi. Further, Surya gives result as if being in moolatrikona in the first 20 deg. and as if being in own rasi in the next 10 deg. This means that Surya is strongest at 10 deg. and quite strong in that rasi through out. Thus the exact position of 10 deg. Mesha rasi stands out indicating that in this particular longitude there is some exceptional 'quality'. This correcponds to different rasi's in vargas: e.g. Karka in Dasamsa, border of Mithuna and Karka in Navamsa, Tula in Vimsamsa etc. Does these particular rasivargas have any significance that makes Surya so potent at this longitude? (2) Secondly, what is the idea behind raja-bhanga yoga? For example, Surya is giving the result of being in own rasi at 23 deg Mesha while it is in neecha-navamsa. Why ? Why is Surya powerful in the rasi chart and powerless to support bhagya/dharma ? (3) If that is so then why Surya while being at deep exaltation is in neecha-vimsamsa i.e. powerless to support the spiritual quest of the native ? These are some of the questions that are coming to my mind in relation to exaltation. It is clear from the human perspective . Suppose we like to be at a party (exaltation rasi) and there is a particular place in the party hall which will be most likes say in the garden or beside the pool etc. (deep exaltation). So there is no uniformity of liking at the party place. I would like to know if similar analogy can be brought to the rasis. Sorry for using too many words to explain my question.
