Sahishnuta (cerebral sh, long final a) means (very) literally the capacity or power of wishing to bear. It is from dhatu ish, meaning to seek or desire, which takes na or nu in various formations, preceded by infinitive of sah, meaning to bear and final ending ta meaning power of or capacity to. It means the power to bear or support, you could say patience, forbearance rather than just tolerance. MW ref is 1193/2.
