Punar phoo ,means "punara" meaningrepeated,and "phoo" for failures/wasted attempts...Punarphootherefore meeans repeated attempts due to failures, for one reasonor another... --Yogesh Rao Lajmi

Punarphoo seems to be Tamil variation of the Sanskrit word Punarbhoo, meaning = happening again.

there is no word name PUNARPHOO in sanskrit but as Hasmukhbhai mention in his mail

PUNARAHBHAVA only near to meaning what is givan in book of shri KSK.

PUNARAH Means repeat and repeat

BHAVA Means happening

I THINK punarphoo IS APABHRANSH Of PUNARBHAV.( I dont know english word for apabhransh).

and meaning of PUNARBHAVA & PUNARPHOO are same.

There is no confusion with "Punar", which is again, or repeatedlyThe confusion is w.r.t. "PHOO"Now here is my non-serious interpretation.

As childen we use phoo to mean gone, or co away. Blow the ashes, from the hand, or blow out an oil lamp. etcSo phoo can mean lost, or lost chance.do not take it seriously please.--Raichur-a-r

 

 

We often find variations of many Sankrit words spelt in South Indian languages, like Adrishta-Athrishta; Dasha-Dasa; Rahu-Raghu; Ketu-Kethu; Shani-Sani; Martand-Marthand; Prashna-Prasna; Parashara-Parasara; Shastra-Sastra; etc. I think, in the same fashion, Punarbhoo has been spelt as Punarphoo.

The meaning apart, here is what Mr Vaikari Ramamurthy has written about the effects of Punarphoo:

" Our beloved guruji in his readers mentioned about this "Punarphoo" only in some marriage matters and he has not elaborated this aspect of Sat-Moon combination.

" I had lot of experience of this Sat-Moon combination, i.e. Punarphoo dosha not only in marriage aspect, but each and every aspect of a man's life. We can call it is a Dosha of this Moon-Sat combination like mars dosha and other malefic doshas.

"I have covered almost all the cases such as arriage, progeny, love affairs, intercaste marriage, delays profession, denial of marriage, betrothal, marriage agreements, mismatched marriage and also some miserable life of the native due to the presence of this Sat-Moon combination, i.e. Punarphoo...."
