Om Gurave NamahNamaste,I have considered the following chart for the India's mission to Moon for my analysis. I have used KPAstro for this exercise. October 22, 2008Time: 6:20 AMTime Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)Place: 80 E 15' 00", 13 N 47' 00" Sriharikota, India1) Lagna sub lord is Guru, who is signifying 2,3,1,8,3 and 6th. Guru is in the Star of Sukra and in the Sub of Guru. Sukra is signifying 11,2,4,5,1 and 8th houses.2) Lagna is Vrischika and the badhaka house is 11th, which is Simha and its lord is Surya.

Budha is signifying 1, 12 ,2, 7 and 11th. Surya is in the Star of Kuja and in the Sub of Surya. No planets is in the Star of Surya. Kuja is signifying 4,1,2 and 7. So the above indicates that, there may be a little delay in the launch but at the end the mission will be successful.RegardsRaghunatha Raohttp://www.Prashna-Astrology.com

Namaste,http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7679818.stmThe above news letter advises that the Chandraayan-1 launched at 6.50am.Let Aryabhatta and Varahamihra bless our Indian SCIENTISTSfor success in their chandamaama mission. My Astrological observations: Deva phalam required for accomplishment of mission.Reasons for the above:Launch is seem to have taken place in Lagna thyaajyam kaalam with "Mrithyu" pancham dosham, navAmsa Lagnam falls on asubha navAmsam "kruthrm" Besides the launch had taken place in pshachitra thithi and chakata yoga. All the above are generally avoided by persons who wish successful accomplishment of undertakings. With regards,D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta.Rao Nemani <raon1008 wrote: Om Gurave NamahNamaste,I have considered the following chart for the India's mission to Moon analysis. 00" Sriharikota, India1) Lagna is Tula and its lord Sukra (also 8th lord) is placed in 2nd house.2) Lagna longitude is close to the Surya who is the 11th lord and placed in Lagna. 2nd and 7th lord Kuja is also placed in Lagna. GL and HL is also with Lagna. 3) Chandra is in Nakshatra of Pushyami which is a Urdhva Mukha (upward sight) category, this indicates that there is no danger for this space carft to be pulled down.4) Based on the Muhurta Principles, no planet should be in 8th house, so luckily, in this chart, there are no planets in 8th house in Rasi. That is good. Air and space travel is an attempt by the man to emulate the birds, which are ruled by the Sun (Karaka). So the karaka for this mission is Surya who is the Dhara Karaka and 11th lord in this chart and he is placed in Lagna itself. Another important principles, we

have to see based on the Muhurta principles is: a good placement of Moon. 5) Now for this mundane astrology purpose, I am using the seven Chara Karaka scheme. In this chart Moon is 10th lord and also Putra Karaka who is placed in 10th house (own house) along with Ketu (co-lord of 2nd and A5).This Chandra and Ketu are aspected by Rahu by Graha Drishti. This Rahu is co-lord of A8. Shani lord of 4th and 5th house is placed in 11th house and aspecting Lagna. This combination indicates some obstacles and delays are possible for this mission, but at the end the mission will be successful.RegardsRaghunatha Raohttp://www.Prashna-Astrology.com

|| Om Gurave Namah ||Dear Raghunaatha, In addition to you observations, Let me add some of mine,Chaapa Yoga (Bow formation) [Considering Rahu/Ketu here all grahas from 10 to 4th house] in Nabhaasa category[Ref:BPHS] . This indicates that some deep amount of secret is being hidden in this space flight Or does it also mean that a deep secret about moon would be revealed?!. Chaapa/bow could symbolically means Sagittarius or Saturn. This 10th to 4th house is becoming very prominent.

Kaala Amrita Yoga broken by Moon to form Maha Shanka yoga. This may indicate new birth of the nation breaking away from clutches. And Sarpa yoga is broken with again in moon in kendra.

Lagna is having Shubha kartari yoga between Venus and Mercury two benefices. This will ensure that Keen observations (or other Venus kaarakatwa) and prompt actions (Or mercury kaarkatwa) could save the mission from troubles it may encounter.

BTW, I get 6:22 from following reference.http://in.news./48/20081022/804/tnl-chandrayaan-i-successfully-put-into.html

Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) home-grown rocket PSLV-C11

lifted off at 6.22 a.m. from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre taking the

spacecraft beyond the thick dark cloud cover over this coastal town.Warm RegardsSanjay P2008/10/22 Rao Nemani <raon1008

Dear DS Gupta ji

As per ISRO report and as i witnessed the direct live telecast on TV,

the time as per clock of the room where ISRO chairman was sitting, it

recorded 06:22 am. It appears to be perfect astrologically also.

~~ Om gurave namah ~~Dear Jyotishas, Just as a jyotish thought for today. Have you noticed that ISRO is not talking much about the Chandraayana mission,If you look at the press releases http://www.isro.org/Chandrayaan/htmls/pressreleases.htm

Very few news is being heard. Unlike NASA where such launches would have given out lot many photos and public updates. The Chaapa Yoga(consider Rahu?) with 4th house, a hidden house, is showing up it looks.

|| Om Gurave Namah ||Dear Jyotishas, Just to see the effectiveness of the the launch muhurtha, Please read the below news clip. The moon sattelite is heating up.

The Muhurtha chart is pasted below also. The Lagna is in close degress with Sun being badakesh and with mars. It's well know dictum that a malefic Sun and Mars in lagna will give pitta dosha or heat related troubles.

Warm RegardsSanjay Phttp://www.rediff.com/news/2008/nov/26imoon-chandrayaan-feels-the-heat1.htm

" since the last few days,

ISRO scientists have been noticing that there is a slight rise in

temperature on the surface of the Chandrayaan. However, ISRO scientists told rediff.com that there was no cause for concern and this generally happens due to something called as 'moon summer'

The

multi-layered insulated blanket on the Chandrayaan maintains the

temperature between 0 and 40 degree Celsius. However, due to moon

summer, the ISRO noticed that there had been a 10 degree rise in the

temperature on the surface. " sohamsa , " Sanjay Prabhakaran " <sanjaychettiar wrote:
