KP New Ayanamsa Calculator on AstroSage

Dear Friends,

I am watching the difficulty faced by KP astrologers in using KP New Ayanamsa with JHora. To simplify the process of KP New Ayanamsa calculation, I have created a page on www.AstroSage.com which can give you exact ayanamsa for a date. The utility can be found at http://www.astrosage.com/logy/ayanamsa.asp. After this utility, you will not require to do manual calculation of KP New Ayanamsa and refer any table.

Please have a look and let me know if you think it any useful.

Good effort and useful addition for quick check.

By the way I just checked with some softwares casually

the values of KP ayanamsa , in some old and latest softwares.

Here are the results for 5 th Oct 2008.

Digital jyotish -21"( old sw no option for NKPA)

Just thinking Latest SW are fine to use at least they agree reasonably well wih value of Ayanamsa.

Dear Swami ji ,

Thanks for sharing ayanamsa calculation from other softwares. I also think that the few second difference doesn't make any difference from the practical stand point.

In AstroSage.com, I have implemented the formula given by Prof. K. Balachandran, KP & Astrology Year Book 2003 which is considered standard in this forum. The results also matches with the values given in the file " Table of New KPA.doc " that can be found in the file section. There is known 1 second difference from the file as the actual value is coming somewhere between and we are rounding it differently.Though in my opinion it is negligibl and doesn't make any difference for all practical purposes.
