Dear Avtar Krishen Ji

I would like you to kindly conisder the below points as part of the ongoing

discussions -

1. The differences exisitng w.r to ''seasons'' and hindu calendar needs to be

treated seperately, from Vedic astrology. Ofcourse as you beleive, there may be

some mutual dependencies, regarding wrong calendar calculations.

2. We do not know how the ancient sages were able to measure planetary positions

? Today we need ayanamsha as we do not have othermeans to measure the positions

and benchmark it to the reference star.

Rahu-Ketu and the mythology relating to Eclipses, is an apt example. Today we

need ayanamsha are aware that the position of nodes are important w.r to

eclipse. How did the sages measure this.

3. The authenticity of Vedic/Hindu astrology cannot be denied just because of

multiple Ayanamshas, existence of Nirayana/Sayana zodiacs etc. In reality

''Zodiac'' is nothing but the wheel of Time, perceived in moorti roopa, from the

amoorta Time - out of Kalpana.

As we had discussed before, it is bench marked against nakshathras. Ashwini

Devas and their relationship with respect to madhu (honey) and beginning of the

''Varsha'' (year) can be discussed in another email.

There are numerous references in vedas and upanishads, as you would be certainly

aware of. Varahamihira is also speaking of

''MeshAswhi Pradhame''. So is he in sync.

Thanks

Pradeep
