Folks,

Another interesting observation. BV Raman himself using the Pindayu method

estimated his longeivity as 86 years 2 months and 20 days (given in his book -

How to Judge Horoscope - Vol 2 that covers 7 to 12 houses)

This will bring the supposed end on 1998 October 28 day

He passed away on Dec 20, 1998 - Very close I would say!

This is what Shri KN Rao wrote in the article..

" In one issue of the Astrological Magazine I had predicted the period from 1994

to 1996 as bad for him and he died two years later after falling ill in the

period pointed out by me. I had ofcourse used the horoscope as here too on the

basis of his birth time he had rectified himelf.

" Not sure what Method Rao used.

BV Raman explains in the same book that Amsayu method is better than Pindayu

method and also I beleive there is another Jaimini method (did not read the

book).

If somebody has experience using Amsayu method please contact me, in the same

book, I do have a question regarding Amsayu calculation -there is a typo or I am

not able to understand it.

Note: I do know (one of our relatives in Bangalore) had estimated his own death

day and kept a 100 Rs note (long time back) in the panchanga before hand, so

that family members could use that money for the shraddha karyas. So there were

a lot of experts in some method of longevity calcuation.

Thanks
