Jaya JagannathaDear Bivash,NamasteThe best one is tourmaline but it tends to also play tricks with the computer itself. For re-energising, the best one is clear quartz with its pointed end pointing towards you. The terminations of the crystal cluster must be perfect to get the best benefit out of it.Tourmaline is known (and scientifically proven) to deflect electromagnetic waves, radioactive waves/radiation and the reason why so many in the East put a mala of tourmaline round their rear view mirror (in the car) to deflect these highly carcinogenic waves. I am sure the same discussion is in the archives on this list. Anyway, lots more wrt tourmalines. Do note that the five maharatnas are used in rituals and includes the orange garnet. There are many books from classics stating that Hessonite (Cinnamon coloured tourmaline) belongs to Rahu, but would defer on this according to the descriptions from Garuda Purana.love,SweeOn 14 May 2008, at 11:36, Bivash Ramroop wrote:Om Brihaspataye NamahDear Guruvi,NamastePlease advise as to what crystal or gemstone can be used when one works at a computer for extended periods of time.I work over 8 hours at my computer, and I fear it is taking effect on me now, and my eyesight. I have seen some people at work keep rose quartz and amethysts on their desk, and one claims to have a cluster of citrine on her desk (although it looks very dark brown). Any advice will be appreciated.Hare KrishnaBivash

Jaya JagannathaDear Bivash,NamasteNo, for healing use the naturally terminated crystals. The natural crystalisation is also described in the purana. As for tourmaline, do you need it for your aching bones? Then use black Tourmaline. I can always send with Clive. Is it your shoulders or your neck?love,SweeOn 14 May 2008, at 16:36, Bivash Ramroop wrote:Om Brihaspataye NamahDear Guruvi,NamasteThankyou for the advice. The crystal shop sells both types. I shall wash the stones and dry in filtered sun, which brings me to my next question, what exactly is filtered sun? Thanks for the help- I also have to make an appointment to see a massage therapist as the knots in my neck are driving me crazy!--- In  , Swee Chan <swee wrote:>> > Jaya Jagannatha> > Dear Bivash,> Namaste> > The best one is tourmaline but it tends to also play tricks with the > computer itself. Om Brihaspataye Namah

Dear Guruvi,

Namaste

Thankyou for the info! I bought a clear quartz crystal yesterday

with natural termination but the crystal is polished. None of

the " raw " crystals were clear- all cloudy.

Thankyou for offering the tourmaline. The last time I went to the

massage therapist, he indicated that I had two knots on my neck and

two knots on my shoulders- the result of staring at a computer

screen for over 8 hours a day!

I bought a piece of black tourmaline, but it looks like a piece of

black stone or black rock. I'm keeping it on my computer at work to

see if anything goes haywire :)

I suspect the tourmaline is either not the genuine thing, or

probably or a very low quality.

Thanks again!

Om Namo Bhagavate Param GuraveDear BivashNamasteWith the computer age some people are office bound and behind a pc all day long. Try facing your seating poition to East to harness the maximum solar energy. Ive seen good results with placement of quartz crystal.

Further, take lots of breaks and try not to sit longer than 45 min at a stretch. Drink lots of water as its good for the body under stress and at least this way you will be forced to get up to go to the toilet and take a break.

To Gaurav, you disappoint me for dumping Priyanka, wait for Drona to be released and you may just change your mind again. :-)Best WishesBipinOn 15/05/2008, Bivash Ramroop <bivaash108 wrote:
