Aries - Red Taurus - White Gemini - Green Cancer - Pink Leo - Off white Virgo - Gray Libra - Black Scorpio - Light yellow Sagitarius - Golden yellow Capricorn - Blue Aquarius - Brown Pisces - Pure white My understanding is Aries is lorded by Mangal so color is red Taurus, white as Moon exalts in it Gemini, green as lorded by Mercury Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces - Iam unable to get any reference in respect of the colors associated Like that Sagitarius Golden Yellow due to Guru Dakshinamurty Hope to get some answers. Guest guest Posted April 20, 2008 Report Share Posted April 20, 2008 Om Namo Bhagavate Paramgurave Dear Anand Namaste The colour for the 12 rasis as indicated in Narada Purana, Book 2, Chapter 54, Verse12-13 are as follows: Aries - Red Taurus - White Gemini - Green Cancer - Pink Leo - Brown Virgo - Grey Libra - Variegated Scorpio - Black Sagitarius - Yellow Capricorn - Saffron Aquarius - Deep Brown Pisces - Bright The colour of the 7 planets indicated in Narada Purana, Book 2, Chapter 54, Verse 16 are as follows: Sun - Copper colour Moon - White Mars - Deep Red Mercury - Green Jupiter - Yellow Venus - Variegated Saturn - Jet Black Rahu is associated with Dark Grey - but I dont have reference for this. Generally speaking, Rahu would be like Saturn and Ketu like Mars, so Black and Red respectively Many books sometimes give differnt colours for the rasis, but there is no direct source than the Puranas to reference from. There could be an exception for Rasi for Prasna, could someone please elaborate on this. Further, the real ancient techniques on Jyotish had its basis in the Nakshatras and the moon cycle, Rashis came afterwards. Does anyone know if there are any specific colours associated with each nakshatra. Hope this helps. The animal connected with it is the Goat, being the first animal that came on earth (I assume before humans were born) and the first colour during Brahma's meditation was red the colour of motivation and that gave birth to the first of the Vedas. (I think all this is in Shiva and Vaayu PuraaNa.As for Leo, I know it to be pink like aruNa, the Sun's Charioteer. This is the sign that also indicates the East and is presided over by Indra who heads the devas. It can be the coolness of the pinkish golden hue of the rising Sun. Since the sign before it is Cancer and is considered to be the part of the night.In this manner, if we consider all fire signs to be related to the fire in one way or another, it makes sense that all watery signs are connected to a darkish hue due to the depth of water, though in reality, water is of bluish hue.In our internal light, I would consider the colours of the rainbow, hence beginning from red at the muladhara cakra to violet as the colour of the light that has the most healing property. I am waiting for Bipin to send me a copy of the diagram that I had drawn for him and to incorporate the colours of the rainbow later...Where did you get your colours from?
