Guest guest
ॐ श्री राघवेन्द्राय नमः॥ ॐ श्री लक्ष्मीन्रुसिंहाय नमः॥ Dear Bipin Ji, Thanks for your mail. It has to be 2 Ghatikas when in the horizon we see the Sun is about to set ie., 48 minutes before the beginning of Sun set.The main ritual of exchanging of wedding Malas and tieing of Mangalasutra might have taken place during this 48 minutes of time period. With śrī hari vāyu guru nāma smaraṇa Ramadas Rao.Bipin Prag <bipinprag wrote: ||Om Krishna Guru Om||Dear RamadasJiNamasteYou are absolutely correct Godhulika is a good Muhurta as Swee pointed out to us earlier quoted from Narada Purana 512-13a. This did cross my mind, but I did the computation and found that it didnt correlate with the time proceedings started. In the notes to this text it says... ....This Muhurta is called Godhulika because it occurs at dusk when cows return home from pasture, happy and expectant... Godhulika Muhurta is 2hours before sunset. So from JHL sunset was 18h54 for the day, thus computing the Muhurta to be at 16h54 which doesnt fit with what we know, unless the purohit did a special offering at this time to signify the wedding. This Godhulika Muhurta does seem like a proposition - my only doubt is to confirm whether this muhurta is indeed two hours before sunset.Best WishesBipin On 24/04/07, Ramadas Rao <ramadasrao (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: ॠशà¥à¤°à¥€ राघवेनà¥à¤¦à¥à¤°à¤¾à¤¯ नमः॥ ॠशà¥à¤°à¥€ लकà¥à¤·à¥à¤®à¥€à¤¨à¥à¤°à¥à¤¸à¤¿à¤‚हाय नमः॥ Dear Abhijeet Rai, I am sorry for that statement. From yesterday night ,I was wondering and thinking too much about this Muhurta as it was given by famous Astrologers I suppose. Today morning after my prayers,I got the reply. Some 2 years ago I was explaing about Upanayana and Marriage Muhurtas. So I got remembered about this special Muhurta. It is nothing but GODHULI MUHURTA.During Sunset,we see the Bimba by 3 parts. From this part, 2 Ghatikas is considered very very auspicious for performing Marriages. This is the time when Cows return their shed after having their food in the grass ground. So when this Muhurta is selected, there is no need to see any Muhurta Lagna,Tithi, weekday,Nakshatra,Jamitra Dosha, Lagnamsha,Ashtama Paapa Stithis etc.On 20th of April, Sun set took place at 18 :57 Hrs.The marriage took place at 18 :30 Hrs.The Sun set time is taken as the time when the top tip of Sun just be seen.So the Sun set started at 18 :54 Hrs.From this time 2 Ghatikas ie., 48 minutes is reduced, we will get 18:06 Hrs.So from 18 :06 minutes to 18 :54 Hrs.is GODHULI Lagna. So the Astrologers fixed this GODHULI Muhurta for this marriage to nullify any Muhurta Doshas. Guest guest
|Om Shreenivasaya Namah| Dear Pranav, Namaskar. Thank you. No, I do not have the birth data for Abhishek Bachchan. It would be interesting to look at his chart, though, if someone can come up with reliable data. Best wishes, Anurag Sharma http://www.planetarytransformation.blogspot.com--- In sohamsa , Pranav Gupta <sushmagupta51 wrote:>> !Om Gurave Namah!> > Dear Anurag ji, Namaskar!> > Very nice post. I am curious if you have the DOB of Abhishek Bachhan. > Warm regards,> Pranav> > Anurag Sharma anuraagsharma27 wrote:> |Om Shreenivasaya Namah|> Dear Sarbani Ji & Learned members,> That is quite a well-known fact. Many years back, I had come across a book by Shri K.N. Rao where a lot of space was given to describing how one doctor well known to the Bachchan family would frequent Mr. Rao's place for Shanti Path during Amitabh Bachchan's illness. I believe his name was said to be Dr. Caroli. If I remember correctly, a reference was also made to his mother Smt. Teji Bachchan coming over to inquire astrologically about Amitabh Bachchan's health during that period.> This was from a book by Shri Rao but even otherwise Amitabh Bachchan wears many gemstones and so does his son Abhishek. Out of habit, I spotted the latter wearing either a Neelam or a Gomed on the Madhyama, but this was a few months back. I am sure their astrologers are working on the 'other' school of thought of Shani lording the Madhyama etc.> Much has been made of Mangal Shanti for Aishwarya Rai's 8th House Mangal retrograde in Mesha Rashi. Admittedly most of this is media reporting but the sense one gets from watching the Bachchan family is that they are quite reliant on Jyotish.> So, odds are that the Muhurta could not have been chosen without care. > Just a couple of other thoughts that come to mind. It seems that the actress may have actually wanted to marry Salman Khan, rather than the relationship being just that, merely a relationship. In her chart (November 1, 1973; 4:05 AM; 74 E 51, 12 N 54), the Darapada is in Vrishchik Rashi conjoined Vakra Budh. The actor Salman Khan has Makar Lagna ( Dec. 27, 1965; 9:15 AM; Mumbai, India) which is not reflected accurately from this Darapada. However, the lord of her Upapada Guru is Neecha in Makar Rashi. As the Upapada is stronger than the 7th from the Upapada, the placement of the lord of the Upapada in a sign can indicate the rising sign of the potential spouse.> There is Kalatra Shrapa in the 4th House conjoined the UL. Pt. Sanjay Rath in his paper on the Atmakaraka discussed the horoscope of Salman Khan and the Shukra-Rahu Yuti in both the horoscopes. These vulnerabilities might have prevented the relationship from culminating into marriage and also precipitating what it did.> On the other hand, the actor Vivek Oberoi with his penchant for press conferences (retrograde Budh)fits the Darapada profile for Aishwarya Rai. References were made to violence and being very skilled in fighting and not having any fear, quite Scorpio in content. In the absence of birth data for Vivek (or is it Viviek) this can only be informed conjecture but it does seems to fit her A7 profile of colleagues (3rd House) conjoined A5- affection.> The families have been doing many Upaya and propitiation, visiting Tirupati Balaji (Rahu Shanti)and other temples. These would be well in order as Aishwarya Rai's 2nd UL would be Karka, and its lord Moon is involved in the Shrapa.> Regards,> Anurag Sharma> http://www.planetarytransformation.blogspot.com> sohamsa , "Sarbani Sarkar Rath" sarbani@ wrote:> >> > Shri Brahmadaru Smarami> > > > Dear Astroblogg,> > > > The bachhans are very heavily dependant on astrology and they have more than> > one astrologer.> > > > Best Regards,> > > > Sarbani Sarkar Rath> > http://sarbani.com <http://sarbani.com/> > > > > > > > > > > _____ > > > > astroblogg [astroblogg@] > > Sunday, April 22, 2007 5:50 PM> > sohamsa > > Re: [Jaya Jagannatha] AbhiAsh Wedding> > > > > > > > To be honest I don't think the families have relied heavily on > > astrologers advice, as you can see from the way the grooms side first > > chose a date which is incompatible with the brides chart, which > > should never happen in the first place, and then the date is changed > > quickly to the next day just because of Nakshatra.> > > > I think the reason is simple. Guest guest
||Om Krishna Guru Om||Dear RamadasJiNamasteYou are absolutely correct Godhulika is a good Muhurta as Swee pointed out to us earlier quoted from Narada Purana 512-13a. This did cross my mind, but I did the computation and found that it didnt correlate with the time proceedings started. In the notes to this text it says... .....This Muhurta is called Godhulika because it occurs at dusk when cows return home from pasture, happy and expectant... Godhulika Muhurta is 2hours before sunset. So from JHL sunset was 18h54 for the day, thus computing the Muhurta to be at 16h54 which doesnt fit with what we know, unless the purohit did a special offering at this time to signify the wedding. This Godhulika Muhurta does seem like a proposition - my only doubt is to confirm whether this muhurta is indeed two hours before sunset.Best Wishes Bipin On 24/04/07, Ramadas Rao <ramadasrao wrote: ॠशà¥à¤°à¥€ राघवेनà¥à¤¦à¥à¤°à¤¾à¤¯ नमः॥ॠशà¥à¤°à¥€ लकà¥à¤·à¥à¤®à¥€à¤¨à¥à¤°à¥à¤¸à¤¿à¤‚हाय नमः॥Dear Abhijeet Rai,I am sorry for that statement. Guest guest
Namaste RamadasjiI always thought Godhuli Muhurta was to be taken only under an emergency. I think in one of the books I read, that Godhuli Muhurta does not mitigate the ill effects of Chandra in 8th or 6th. Can you please throw more light on this muhurta and under what conditions can one use this muhurta? Your reply will be most helpful. Thanks and RegardsBharatOn 4/24/07, Ramadas Rao <ramadasrao > wrote: ॠशà¥à¤°à¥€ राघवेनà¥à¤¦à¥à¤°à¤¾à¤¯ नमः॥ ॠशà¥à¤°à¥€ लकà¥à¤·à¥à¤®à¥€à¤¨à¥à¤°à¥à¤¸à¤¿à¤‚हाय नमः॥ Dear Abhijeet Rai, I am sorry for that statement. Guest guest
||Om Krishna Guru Om||Dear RamadasJiNamasteThe Abhi Ash Wedding also took place on Akshay Tritiya. I found some infoormation about this, but without any references. 'Akshaya Tritiya day is a very auspicious day - there's no inauspiciousness to be found on this day so even checking muhurthas is considered unnecessary, so auspicious it is.' On this day Lord Ganesha and Veda Vyasa began writing the Mahabharata many millennia ago. This is also the day of the incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Parashurama.Could you please share some light on this. If this Muhurta is relevant for Marriage, there is a double auspisciousness to the wedding commenceing at Godhulika as well Best WishesBipin

Guest guest
||Om Krishna Guru Om||Dear Sharat, thanks for your replyI agree, but couldnt help notice that at sunrise Sukla Tritiya was still running. I was just curious about this time as the rest of computations at this Muhurta at Sunrise seems wonderful with Moon in Rohini and Hora Lord Venus in sync with Friday and we know that Ve & Mo are in conjunction. We are still not sure exactly which Muhurta was chosen by the Purohit - he could have made the 'announcement' to signify the wedding at any time. Now assuming he had to do a special ritual and elect the chart at Sunrise for the wedding, that chart is amazing - what do you think. Guest guest
||Namah Shivaya|| Dear Bipin, No doubt Akshay Tritiya was auspicious. However, it seems they have had the ceremony based on a different Muhuratha. It will also depend on their respective charts as well. Regards Sharat - Bipin Prag sohamsa Sunday, April 29, 2007 7:49 PM Re: Re: [Jaya Jagannatha] AbhiAsh Wedding ||Om Krishna Guru Om||Dear Sharat, thanks for your replyI agree, but couldnt help notice that at sunrise Sukla Tritiya was still running. Guest guest
OM SHRI RAGHAVENDRAAYA NAMAH OM SHRI LAKSHMI NRUSIMHAAYA NAMAH Dear Bipin Ji, As I already qrote in this list that Abhi-Ash wedding took place during Godhuli Muhurta which removes any kind of Muhurta Doshas and other Doshas like Tithi Dosha, Nakshatra Dosha etc. You said it was Akshaya Triteeya and is considred as auspicious.Yes, it is auspicious day for performing /buying golden and other ornaments etc.,poojas etc.It was the day of the beginning of Treta Yuga which is not good for any of the Shodasha Karmas including marriage. But as the Muhurta was Godhuli,it removed all evils in the Muhurta chart. Guest guest
OM SHRI RAGHAVENDRAAYA NAMAH OM SHRI LAKSHMI NRUSIMHAAYA NAMAH Dear Bipin Ji, The question was about the Muhurta and I gave a lot of emphasis on GODHULI Muhurta for the marriage to be conducted during this period. The pnadits have not selected Akshaya Triteeya day as a very auspicious day for marriage but the Muhurta of GODHULI.It was a day of the beginning of Treta Tuga,so no auspicious celebrations like Upanayana or marriage to be conducted on that day.Actually Triteeya Tithi was on that day was only for a few minutes as the Sun rise was at 6-18 AM and the Triteeya Tithi was till 6-27 AM only.So the marriage took place during Chaturthi Tithi eventhough during Sun rise the Tithi was Triteeya. So to nullify most of the malefic effects of Durmuhurta,GODHULI Muhurta was selected which removes all the Muhurta Doshas.
