Here is my attempt for last lesson.> Q1: Determine the predominating Tatwa in the Lagna of your chart.Parasara says, check the rising planet at the time of birth for this.(P640-Sharma). Again in sloka 15 it says the strongest planet in the chart indicate predominant guna.How ever my understanding is rising sign ans paka lagna too could indicate the predominant guna.My Lagna is Gemini and Kendras are not occupied by any planet. This indicateVayu tatva and Satvik guna.Paka lagna is Capricorn with Mars, Saturn,Mercury, Moon and Ketu.Mars Gives Agni tatva in maximum and Saturn gives Vayu tathva. This can makeMars to activate well with Agni tatva and Rajo Guna.If lagna indicate true self , guna and tatva must be Vayu tatva and Satwik guna.Since it is modified by paka lagna Agni tatva and Rajo guna can be my predominating tatva and guna.> Q2: What is implied by the exaltation and debility of Rahu in Taurus> & Scorpio respectively?Rahu is the graha who make materialistic the native and gives lot ofdesires. By desires Rahu keep the soul attached to the body and makerebirth.To do the best, Rahu must be strong in Arta trikona; 2nd, 6th or 10th.Taurus is the only place that Rahu could aspect 6th, 10th 8th and 3rd. Byaspect 3rd, 6th, and 10th, rahu take the native to material blessings andkeep away from Moksha.If Rahu is in Scorpio, I think Rahu could be afflicted, as it is Mokshatrikona. Non of the Moksha trikona give Material improvements and Rahucannot give his desires in this house.>>Why is Ketu not exalted for matters of Longevity?Ketu, as Mokshakaraka having no desires for material enjoyment. So Ketu does not promote material life.>> Q3: What do you understand by the terms Moolatrikona and Swakhetra of each of the>> planets? Explain with illustrations.

 

Moolatrikona rasi is the place that planet could give the ability to work in full in strength. This is the place where planet actively giving results. Not modifying the qualities but can give maximum natural qualities as the nature of the planet.

 

In Swashestra rasi/degrees the planet is not active as MT degrees, but still gives the results. But the results could be modifyed by other factors easier than in a MT sign.
