I have also worked out some Ishta devatas for some other people, and thats also not their favourite deity. Is there a method to find a " favourite " deity? It need not be same as one likes to worship. People think A deity is worshiped for past life connection and continuation. The situation can be otherwise. Person liking for a deity is governed by V th house in D1 chart. So there could be difference. with best wishes.
