Thanks to Narasimha, I noted that I made a mistake in my calculations.

 

I reread G.C. Sharma's commentary on that chapter of Jataka Bharnam:

 

1. The first samvatsara started at Kali-yuga was Vijaya when Jupiter and Saturn were at 0 degree (middle point) Aries.

 

2. In order to caculate the present samvatsara one needs to know the Kali-yuga date which is supposed to be 3102 BD and number of Jupiter rounds per Mahayuga. Sharma gives a number of 364,220. The Samvatsaras are calculated wrt Jupiter in the middle of Aries.

 

3. Now by these data, new Vijaya Samvatsara of the new (87th) cycle has begun in 1999

 

This does not correspond to what you were writting. I am not sure how reliable are the data given by Sharma. Where did he get the number of Ju rounds in Mahayuga.

 

If Sri Achyutadasa's predictions are to be correct, then the number of Jupiter rounds in Mahayuga must be different. Please give the correct number of rounds so that we can make the correct calculations (and also where are you taking it from?)
