Dear Phyl,

You have grasped the subject totally and an make an excellent

interpretation. Your prdiction about a male child for second niece is also

going to come true with time. However, you missed a vital point. In the

chart of your niece#2, the seventh Lord Jupiter is in Pisces, a fruitful

sign and this indicates a MALE CHILD. PLANETS IN CANCER AND PISCES CAN GIVE

MALE CHILDREN.

Best wishes

Sanjay

Saptamsa Homework

Blessings to you Sanjay.

Thank you for not giving up on me. I'm still having difficulty with 'the

language' but hopefully things are coming together. Could you please tell me

where, or how, I can perform appropriate offerings to the gods of the

Nakshatras?

Since I have not found anyone who can help me with my pronunciation I

hesitate to venture too far beyond simple salutations such as: Om ____

Namaha. I trust my sincerity avoids any potential insult or injury. I would

also like to know what I could suggest for other people when I see difficult

situations such as Saturn transiting a sign having no bindus according to

the Ashtakavarga scales.

Again, thank you for your patience and I look forward to the evaluation of

my homework.

SAPTAMSA homework

For this assignment I am using the birth charts of my twin nieces and their

husbands. For all examples the Lahiri Ayanamsa has been used.

Niece #1 born: Nov 1, 1970 in Chilliwack, B.C. Canada (121W 57 49) @ 19:50

PST

Her husband was born Nov 12, 1969 in Baa Fiji (123E 03 10 S40) @ 12:40.

This couple have two children one born Oct 20, 1997 the second born Feb 17,

2000 both are girls.

Looking first at my niece's chart we see her Saptamsa Lagna to be Leo, her

9th house is Aries an odd sign. The ruler of Aries, Mars is situated in

Gemini indicating her first child would be a girl.

This situation is confirmed when we look at her husband's Saptamsa chart.

The lagna is Leo an odd sign ruled by the Sun. The Sun is situated

Capricorn, an even sign, also indicating a girl child.

Looking again at my niece's chart we see the 7th house to be Aquarius, ruled

by Saturn. Saturn although placed in the third house it also indicates a

girl child.

Her husband's chart shows his 7th house to be Libra, an odd sign however the

ruler, Venus is situated in Scorpio an even sign again suggesting a girl

child.

They will be having no more children.

For curiosity sake I have had to look at the chart of her twin sister and

her sister's husband. This couple are expecting their first child in early

August.

Niece #2 was born at 19:58 PM and these girls are identical twins.

The Saptamsa Lagna of niece #2 is Virgo and the lord of her 9th house is

Taurus ruled by Venus. Venus is situated in Aries an odd sign indicating she

could have a boy child.

In her husband's chart (July 16, 1968 in New Westminster, BC Canada 122W54

49N12 @ 12:21 PDT) we see his Saptamsa Lagna to be Gemini and his 5th house

Libra ruled by Venus which is situated in Aquarius and conjunct the Moon,

clearly showing a daughter.

Therefore Twin #2 will also have a girl child as her first child.

Looking ahead to the possibility of a second child we see the following

pattern.

Niece #2 has Jupiter as Lord of her Pisces 7th house and Jupiter is situated

in Pisces an even sign suggesting another girl.

Her husband's Saptamsa 7th house becomes Sagittarius with it's Lord situated

in Libra an odd sign. Therefore chances are their second child will be male.
