The transiting Moon will change naksatra in 24 hours, and each rasi in 2.5 days, so it is thus too unstable a vantage point to use as a reference for transits. Natal lagna should be looked at also, as well as the sign of the operative dasa ruler or rasi. Take all three into account, but play special attention to which transiting planets aspect planetary rulers of the major and sub-period operating. Lastly, quantify the strengths of transiting planets in their Ashtakavargas. With regards, Robert ===================================== Robert A. Koch, Vedic Astrologer 760 NW Broken Arrow Rd. Guest guest
JAYA JAGNANNATHA! Dear Shashank, Namaste. > Dear fellow members, > > One question about the transiting planets. While looking at the > transiting planets in a house, we calculate the house from moon. The > question is whether it is calculated from the natal moon or from the > transiting position of moon. If you want to see the effects of the transit on the native, see from Natal Moon. It is also useful to see from Natal lagna, but Moon position os more often used, as the transit of planets much more infulences the sensitive mind indicated by the Moon than the physical body indicated by the Lagna. I myself use the transits only to fine-tune the readings from Dasas and Tajaka charts. Transit Moon will ave a role indetermining the yogas in the transit chart. Of course there's more to do with Transit Moon than this, and you will find a few mwthods fro Transit analysis form the Moon mentioned in narasimha's new book. He has recentky revealed some knwoledge on Sarvatobhadra Chakra, and the Nakshatras as well. Tithi, etc should also be considered and wil have specific significance in judgng a Moon transit. Because the Moon's daily motion is quite big, i.e. she crosses one Nakshatra daily, her transits can be used for timing events on daily basis. The timing down to this should be done according to Dasas, Tajaka and the transits of the slower moving planets.
