Dear Visti,

One more point...the whole triad of bijas is her personification. Tripura comes in threes. To understand her the three kutas are very important. The way to the three kutas are the three bijas. They are together, not separate.

Dear Sarbani, NamaskarThe Shodasi mantra in VRA has the order given as; Shreem, Hreem, Kleem Aim Sauh... i.e. Kleem Aim Sauh is the order. Is there an error?

Before this, under the heading “tripura sundari mantra” VRA talks of the kutaa beejas in the order of vaag, kaama and shakti, i.e. Aim Kleem Sauh, as you said.

Obviously this is different from the hrdaya beejas (atma, mana, beeja), so how do we know this is Tripura’s personification? Is it the kleem beeja, or aim beeja?

Best wishes,

Dear Visti,

I think anyone one the list who worships Tripura will be able to tell you, that this is the root for Tripura as given, specially for the famed 15/16 akshara mantras. Aim beeja, Klim kilaka, Sauh shakti. At a higher level it symbolises the three kutas or at least their roots. Tripura is too vast an ocean for me to handle!

Dear Sarbani, NamaskarI didn’t know that “Aim Kleem Sauh” (vaag, kaama, shakti) is the personification of Tripurasundari. Why is it, and why that specific order? How about Kleem Aim Sauh? How does this change it?

Best wishes,

Shri Brahmadaru Smarami

Dear Partha, Ramdasji, Visti and others,

Well for once I have a dream! I don't remember much of it. Neither do I remember the day. Probably the 9th or the 10th night. I don't remember. Hence there is no chart. The dream is like this: I am having a conversation with a holy man, maybe a rishi. Black hair, sharp face with chiselled features, fairish complexion with a reddish tinge. Wearing red clothes. There are 2-3 other people present, and I am animatedly discussing the possible mantras for a particular devi with these people. Sanjayji is in the group too; but I am not very sure. The best, 'the' mantra has to be chosen for this devi (I don't know who she is). We are having a nice discussion and a mantra is chosen after much analysis. Finally the holy man said, "no that is not the one. The correct mantra is this". After which he utters a mantra to me with a smile on his face. All I remember is that the mantra is prefixed with 'aim klim sauh'. As all of you know, aim klim sauh is the personification of Tripura, and is her root bijas. I am completely shocked. Visibly startled I say to the holy man, "aim klim sauh? For this devi? But that is Tripura's bijas! How can you use this for her??". He smiles again and says yes, this is the 'correct' mantra for her. Along with this memory is a memory of a bright red triangle with a yellow border and with thick yellow fonts aim, klim and sauh are written on the three sides.

Can any one of you draw a prashna for me and tell me who this devi is? Incidentally this mantra was to be for me to recite.

Best Regards,

Sarbani
