Guest guest
Aum Guruve Namah, Dear Narasimha, May be due to ignorance i had given you the sugession. I used to calculate the vimshottari dasa with the help of Lahiri ephimeris.... and i used to take 360 days per year because while giving dates of starting or ending of dasa I changed month when the days accumulated to 30... When I saw the computer programmes giving an option of 365.25 days/yr and 360 days/yr, I thought it would be appropriate to use 365.25 yr and started using 365.25d a yr. When I saw the KCD tutorial, found you suggested that 360days a year will give more valid result hence I asked you for the same. Can you enlighten me what should be the dasa duration per year for the Nakshatra based dasa. I will be thankful. Sorry for taking your time Pranaam Sarajit Dear Sarajit, > I have a suggestion for JHL. You mentioned in your KCD tutorial that for KC > with 360days/yr gives better results. If you give an option for having KC dasa > with 360days/yr and other Nakshatra based dasa with 365.2454 yr simultaneously > displayed and printed, then it would be helpful. Otherwise you can fix > Kalachakra Dasa with 360 days/yr period. It is illogical to use 360d years for one nakshatra dasa and 365d years for another nakshatra dasa. You would want to use the same thing in Vimsottari, Yogini, Ashtottari and Kalachakra dasas. In the final product, it will be possible to give one setting for rasi dasas and one setting for nakshatra dasas. I do not see any point in using different methods for different dasas. But nakshatra dasas based on Moon and rasi dasas based on rasis different and so two settings for them would make sense. One can use 365d years with rasi dasas and 360d years with all nakshatra dasas, for example. FYI, Sanjay teaches using 365d years (or rather 1 year = 360 degree motion of Sun) with ALL dasas. I have a disagreement with him in nakshatra dasas (Vimsottari & Kalachakra).
