Dear Raghunatha,

Namaste

Uttara Kalamrita Chapter sloka 5 and 6 gives 3

methods.

The first 2 refers to the TOB and the sex of the

native and the third ascertains the lagna.

Using LMT, at the time of sunrise, note the ghatika (24

minutes) and the vighatikas (24 secs) that have elapsed multiply by 4 and

divide by 9. The remainder counted from Asvini must coincide with the janma

nakshatra.

The second method in determining if the native is male

or female:

0 – 15 vighati – male

16 – 45 vighati – female

46 – 90  vighati – male

91 – 150 vighati – female

151 – 225 vighati – male

Multiply the birth vighati by 4 and divide by 9, the

remainder plus 1 is to be counted either from Dhanshta, Mrisgashiras or from

Chitra will indicate the janma nakshtra.

A method given by R. Iyer To get the Vara –

multiply the birth vighati by 3 and divide by 7. the remainder is to be counted

from Friday (Kali Yuga commenced on a Friday).

Phaladeepika gives methods of counting from Mandi and

the lord of that sign.

But so far, Uttar Kalamrita gives the most extensive

methods.

Swee

[Jaya Jagannatha] Birth Time Rectification Question

Om Krishna Guru

Namaste Gurus and Learned Members,

Is there any mathematical calculations are availble in

our

scriptures, where one can calculate and RECTIFY birth

time by getting

a precise Longitude values of Some/ Every / ALL

Planets based on

provided birth details ?

Say for example: can we be able to determine the

exact/possible

longitudes like this after the calculation:-

1) Lagna   Longitude should be : aa Ar bb cc

2) Surya   Longitude should be : aa Le bb cc

3) Chandra Longitude should be : aa Ge bb cc

3) Guru    Longitude should be : aa Li bb cc

4) Shani   Longitude should be : aa Aq bb cc

etc....

aa = Degrees, bb = Minutes and cc = Seconds

Am I asking too much ? OR is there any method(s) exist

to get the

answers to my question?.  If yes, please guide me to

get there.

I am willing to spent any amount of time to conduct

the study on at

least 30 to 50 charts and see if these principles work

consistently

and then we can take this process with confidence.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards

Raghunatha Rao
