Guest guest
Dear Narayan, > Sir, Why Mars??? > I have also read in one of the texts as Gauranga mentioned that > > Moon/Venus > are significators. Actually, Narayan, read BPHS. Chapter 32 explains karakartwas. Read verses 18-21 for sthira karakas. We earlier talked about Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu standing for chara, sthira and dwiswabhava rasis and hence for chara karakas, sthira karakas and naisargika karakas respectively. For diseases and death, sthira karaka must be utilized. Here is the list of sthira karakas given by Sanjay in his Jaimini book: Sun/Venus (stronger): Father Moon/Mars (stronger): Mother Mars: younger siblings, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mercury: Maternal relatives (uncles and aunts) Jupiter: Husband, paternal grandparents and other paternal relatives (uncles and aunts) Venus: Wife, mother-in-law & maternal grandparents Saturn: Elder brothers [Note: Parasara gave sons also to Saturn. Moreover, Parasara took 8 sthira karakas.] May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
