That is a brilliant answer to some aspects of the life of Bhagavan. Sri Rama, is the Incarnation of Visnu the God of the Hindu's and His life and times have been documented in various classical literature of which the Ramayana of Valmiki is the most authentic.

 

I had asked one question as to why the Sun represents Him and you have unconsciously answered that question. This only proves your natural abilities for Jyotish and that you are excellent in this subject.

 

Do not despair about the heights you have to achieve in Vedic Studies. If you look up, the sky looks very far and impossible to reach, but if you look ahead, the sky comes down to earth and meets at the horizon. Look ahead and keep walking. The goal is not far. (Rath 2000...Thats my EGO!!!)

 

Your assessment about the love for Sita is perfect and your reading is very interesting. Please continue to work on the assignments as this is the only way I can be of any real help. I had asked Patraka Das to start the gita classes, but he is not ready as yet. There are so many members from ISKCON. I hope at least one of them takes the interest to start the Gita class. Patraka Das can lead the group at a later date when he has shifted and is more free. I hope Yasomati Nandana or Dinanath Das come ahead for this holy task. This can easily be started at www. and a nice name like Narada or Vyasadeva would surely help.

Dear Sanjay, Blessings to you. This homework is well beyond me primarily, I think, because I have no idea who Sri Ram is or what he did nor do I know anything about Ravana, Sooparnaka or Sita. However I want to try to answer the questions in my feeble way. That this person led a important life goes without saying given the powerful placement of his planets and the multiple yogas formed. Without a doubt the 6 Mahapurusha yogas ensured he would make a major contribution to the world. That Sani is retrograde may not, according to some theories, be as powerful as one might think, however this potential limitation certainly won't significantly distract from his power. Sani's questionable status and the placement of Rahu in his 6th house of enemies give me cause to think that although he may have had serious difficulty with enemies ultimately he overcome them. I base this conclusion on the fact Jupiter is ruler of the 6th house and is so very well situated. If that alone isn't enough he has a Gaja Kasari yoga. Venus, karaka of his wife is exalted, in his 9th house and recieves a 10th aspect from Jupiter. Therefore I think she would have been a great asset to him as she shared her talents and devotion with him. Chances also are that he would have loved her a great deal. W hether he was so pleasant to live with may be another matter. I base this comment on the high representation of cardinal and fire qualities in his chart, both suggesting personal focus and high energy. Sanjay. I fear I am wasting your time and the time of the other class members. There is a world of information that I either do not have or do not understand. Who are these people you are talking about? Until I know the stories I'm totally lost. I have obtained Saravali Kalyana Varma, vol 1 & 2 and will read these. I must admit I have not read the Bagavata Gita. I keep getting lost in it and having no one to clarify my questions as they arise only adds to my frustration. I look forward to finding someone who can explain the stories and with luck will do so in the next few months. Until that time, with your permission, may I continue to recieve the teaching but not send in any work? Until I know more, there is no sense in wasting your time reading incomplete answers.
