Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Jayatah

I am completely free to translate anything till 1st of June. So if there is a

need I can

translate it from Serbian. Hovever in June I will try to join couple of tours of

the couple of

gurus and it will be impossible for me to do anything at that time. Then after

the middle of

July I have got personal things to deal with. And some travels also. Those

couple of months

starting July 1st I will not be so free as I am today. And today I am free. So

like I say, if

you want me to translate anything I could do it starting right now. Than

somebody could

proofread my English that is not so great.

Dear Zavisa,

Forget it. I don't want to be influenced by that. What I have been taught, I

shall teach and that gives accurate results and answers all questions. None

in the Jyotish List (3 Years back) knew why the planets had special aspects

or such rudimentary things like why are the order of weekdays sunday, Monday

etc.

I think I will stick to Achyuta Dasa and wait for the books.

Best Wishes

Sanjay Rath

Jay Gurudeva,

As you could have imagined I have nothing against your teachings or the techings

of Acyuta

dasa. Quite the contrary. And I learned a lot of basis. Problem with me is that

it goes

slowly. But then what can be done. Anyway, you do what you want to do. You are

guru anyway.

Sorry for my light language these days. I anyway most like Nityananda Avadhuta

and never liked

hypocrisy but neither the orthodoxy. So that's my way of life.

Zavisa

p.s. Could you answer the technical part question on Moola dasa?

OM VISHNAVE NAMAHDear Zoran, I admire his knowledge. We have had very detailed discussions and Ithink he may still remember me. His opinion was that after a long time hehad spoken to an Indian "Who knew what he was talking about". This wasconveyed to me through Swami Asutosh. I think they are storing my books in Computers for retention for manyyears. However, my books are not complete in themselves as the Jaimini Sutrawill require an elaborate commentary without which much will be stillhidden. Please go ahead with the translation. ISKCON should also wake up andtake such projects and it will find the intelligencia happily comingforward. That's their policy and I think better days are to come. Othercomments are below.Best WishesSanjay Rath-Zoran Radosavljevic <satya<varahamihira >Thursday, April 20, 2000 0649 S Rath[Jagannath] My materials> Dear Sanjayji,> Thank you for your answer.> I see.I thought that you might have had the> materials prepared.I have loads of materials but> unfortunately in serbian language. What should I do?> It will take a lot of time to translate it.(I am currently> preparing for the translation of COVA/Jaimini sutram.)SANJAY: STICK TO TRANSLATION OF COVA. MY OTHER BOOKS WILL FOLLOW AND FROMWHAT YOU HAVE SEEN FROM THE MOOLA DASA, THE FOUNDATIONS OF JYOTISH WILL BELAID ON A VERY STRONG FOOTING.> To cut a long story short, here are some themes from materials>> 1.Astronomical aspect of jyotish> 2.Graha/rashi/bhava karakatwas> 3.Avastas(baaladhi,lajitadhi,sayanadhi etc)> 4.Shadbala/bhavabal> 5.karakas> 6.nakshatras> 7.Yogas etcSANJAY: NOT THE USUAL STUFF. I CAN DO WITHOUT THIS. DO YOU HAVE SOMETHINGGOOD OR NEW? SOMETHING THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTING.> I have some written materials (handwritting in English)which Ishouldn't> disclose. However,I think I could scan it and send it to you,so that Icould> prepare some lessons based on those materials if you agree, withoutdisclosing>> the materials themselves.SANJAY: WELL, THE CHOISE IS YOURS. IF IT IS CORRECT, THEN LIKE THEASTAKSHARI MANTRA IT WILL HELP THE WORLD, AND IF IT IS WRONG THEN YOU WILLLEARN BETTER.> Siebelt Mayer has done a great work.He was cautious enough not to> disclose> all the knowledge in the courses for the time being. He knew thatsome> people> would misuse those materials to promote themselves not the knowledge.SANJAY: MOST ASTROLOGERS GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT THEY KNOW IT ALL. ACTUALLYTHE ONES WHO REALLY KNOW ARE THE ONES WHO ALSO GIVE THE MOST. SIEBELT MEYERIS VERY LEARNED NO DOUBT, AND I AM SURE THAT HE DOES KNOW A LOT.> BTW.How do you know Sieblet Mayer?SANJAY: WELL, WITH TIME ONE DOES MEET AND KNOW PEOPLE.> What do you actually think about the jyotish knowledge of his?> He is I think the only westerner in the TM movement to get the jyotish> title:"Shastri" What I like about his knowledge is the way he teaches it.> Very sistematic.

RATH: HE IS VERY GOOD AND YOU ARE GETTING THIS FROM ME. I KNOW THAT HE IS INTELLIGENT, VERY DEEP IN HIS KNOWLEDGE, BUT SUFFERS FROM THE SAME WEAK FUNDAMENTALS THAT ALL JYOTISHA IN INDIA HAVE AS THEY HAVE LOST TOUCH OF THE TRADITION. YET, HIS DEEP INSIGHT AND MEDITATION HAS TAKEN HIM PLACES AS HE HAS LEARNT A LOT.

However if one wishes to gain complete knowledge he should> completely oblige himself to the movement. At present,I have not foundmyself> in that role.Being dhanu lagna,I am a kind of a freelancer.I preferstudying> jyotish in> place such as SJVC,more silent and selective.Actually, you are among rarepersons>> who has so far met all my critaria for jyotish guru.I am very grateful toyou> for that.> I also do have complete confidence in your guidence and advice. Thus, pleasetell> me> what I should do in further promotion of knowledge.> Your sisya> ZoranRATH: START THE FOLLOWING TODAY:

1. KEEP A SEPARATE DIARY OR LARGE REGISTER WHERE YOU CAN WRITE THE CHARTS BY YOUR OWN HAND AND KEEP NOTES ON INDIVIDUAL LIFE EVENTS. GIVE A NUMBER FOR EACH CHART AND NOTE THE YOGA ETC THAT COME TO YOUR MIND.

2. READ TEN PAGES OF BRIHAT PARASARA HORA SHASTRA OR ANY OTHER STANDARD TEXT EVERYDAY. NOTE THE STANZA IN A SEPARATE NOTE BOOK (ONE PER PAGE) FOR THIS PURPOSE AND WRITE THE MEANINGS OF WORDS, EXAMPLE CHARTS ETC BELOW EACH STANZA. REFER TO COVA WHERE YOU HAVE DOUBTS OR WRITE TO ME.

3. ON ANY CHATURTHI, WORSHIP THE TEXT BOOK, PEN AND KRISHNA. THE BOOK IS TO BE TREATED AS YOUR GURU, THE PEN AS GANAPATI AND KRISHNA AS THE RECEIVER OF YOUR WORK. THEREAFTER START STUDYING AND THE KNOWEDGE WILL FLOW LIKE THE GANGA.

Best WishesSanjay Rath
