Gita & Sarvaguhyatamam

Namaskaar Bharat Bhai, Swee & members,

It may not be out of place to reproduce a message which was written on "Gita". I would need your comments on the word "Sarvaguhyatamam" used by Shri Krushna. I think that he has used this word only once in the whole of Gita & after that he vertually ends the "Amruta".

I am very much intrigued about that one word. it is well known that even Arjun could not digest the gita properly. after getting all the gnyana directly thro' the lord, he got in to traps of maya & forgot all the knowledge when his own Son Abhimanyu Died.

so what to talk about the mortals like us. i think due to that reason alone, Shri Krushna finally ended gita with the Assurance which he has promised in three shlokas and gave it the adjective of "SarvaGuhyatam".

Dear friends,

For long time I use to think about ‘Bhagvad Gita’. I have read it many times in the past but without much satisfaction. I have heared from scholars and other learned people that Gita is ‘Saar’ of all Vedas and it has answer to every questions of one’s life. I also read ‘Commentary on Gita’ from as saintly and scholarly a person like late Shri Vinoba Bhave.

Lord Shri Krishna has talked about Gnyan, Karma yoga and other various things complied in 18 chapters. I used to feel that I am missing something in Gita. I was not able to find out as to where the 'Heart of the Lord' resides in Gita. I had a conviction that after giving various explanations in Gita, Shri Krishna must have given somewhere, the ‘Saar of Gita’ or ‘Crux of Gita’ (as I would like to call it) for understanding of lesser mortals like me.

The above confusion ended and I found my ‘Eureka eureka’ almost coinciding with the advent of My Bhatri karka Jupiters mahadasha. Once, while reading Gita , My eyes fell on the shloka no. 65, 66 in Adhyay 18. I read it again & again along with Translation. Then I verified the correctness of my understanding from the shloka no. 64 and I was full of joy. I got what I wanted for a long time. I found the ‘Gita Saara – The crux, The lord’s ultimate promise to mankind’...

As you know the shloka’s are as follows

Sarvaguhyatamam Bhuyah Shrunu me Paramam vachah ||

Ishtosi me dadhamiti Tato avkshyami te hitam ||

Manmana Bhav Madbhakto Maghaji mam Namaskurum ||

Mamevaishyasi Satyam, Te pratijane Prayosimr ||

Sarvadharman Parityajya Mamekam Sharanm vraj ||

Aham twa sarva papebhyo, Mokshyishyami ma shuchah ||

As lord Shri Krishna Says that ‘The most’ secret knowledge I am giving you. “You just come to me, you pray to me, depend entirely on me leaving aside everything. I am making a promise that I will save you from all the sins and I’ll take care of your survival I this world as well as your Moesha.”

If I put it in a humorous and more simplified way then I understood the above as given under

The Shri Krishna says “ I am there, why are you worrying, just take my name and carry on. I’l take care of you..” it is like “main hu na !!”

Intrestingly, one can see that the virtual knowledge of Gita ends with the shloka no. 66 of Ch.18.

I am sorry for the long mail. it occurred to me to write it today and I gave went to my feelings of satisfaction & happiness about this Shlokas. I know that it is surely not a new information for scholars and spiritually advanced people but may help some body like me. I apologies if I bored you with this message.
