Guest guest
Namaskaar AllWhile reading a book by an eminent scientist, I came across a passage that has prompted me to write the following article. Many of us keep trying to prove that Astrology is a Science. In my view Astrology uses Science till Science helps it, thereafter it walks alone. SCIENCE: A PARADOXThe Newtonian model which has served the physical world for many years, failed miserably at the Quantum level. The Quantum theory was not able to explain the laws of the larger physical world. This has led most scientists to search for a unified theory of everything. Supposing such a theory exists, and such a unified law exists, then, it would explain the cause of everything. It would also explain the cause of discoveries and in turn be the law guiding scientific discoveries, since it would explain everything and it would be theory that would describe the cause of everything. Now a question arises – If law is guiding the discovery, then, what are the scientists doing? In other words, whatever the scientists actions be in discovering or inventing, it would be the dictates of the Universal law. In such a case, it would be the Universal Law that becomes responsible for the discovery and not the Scientist. As scientists or human beings and their actions shall be propelled or caused by the Universal law, they shall be guided and determined by the same law. This suggests that the Nature will let itself discovered and amounts to saying that it is a predestined world. The above seems like a very unscientific world as the observer is no longer free of the observed phenomenon. Observer shall be governed by the laws which govern the observed phenomenon and therefore, the observation will be totally dependent upon the same laws that govern the observed phenomenon. It amounts to saying that humans do not have conscious actions as no decision making power lies in them. It is Nature's dictates all the way. If this isn't so, then, a person has to have something that lies free of the Nature's laws. If it is free, then, how can we have a unified law, as humans shall lie beyond it? If this is so, then, humans are free from scientific theory and therefore, should not be made subjects of the same. In other words, there can't be a universal law as humans shall forever be free from it. The scientists, I am afraid, are approaching outwards from the Mind to the Senses. Furthermore, the senses are taking them into finite objects in an Infinite world. From the finite objects and the infinite world, they have started inferring about the possibility of the above contradiction in Science. This is a much longer route to take to understand the Universe, especially in the light of Veda that provides a much shorter route. It is only a handful scientists that reach the peak of Science, only to discover that there are many a peaks higher than the one that they climbed. Their effort is noteworthy but they will have to climb down from a shorter mountain, cross the valley, and then, climb the highest mountain. I hope Lord gives them a rope bridge. It surprises me endlessly that many follow Science blindly and never question its scope of applicability and its limitation. Can Physical sciences be applied on all human actions, thoughts, judgments and conscious decision making? It is further strange that such half baked knowledge of Science in the minds of the people make them say that they are "Rationalists"! To me that is nothing but arrogance born out of sheer narrow mindedness.Comments and Suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks and RegardsBharat
