Guest guest
Har Hare Hari Wahe Guru Dear esteemed jyotisha, Janma Nakshatra affecting MANAS SWATI Name's translation: Independent (Swa= self ti= ??) The paradox for Swati Moon is that Manas is reflected light. Light of the Atma becomes the derived mind of the individual. But Swati is independent, restless, and cannot reflect peaceably the controlling light of reality. Swati makes it his own, ever striving to know more, and to add more layers and dimensions to received truth or authority. Swati's relentless push is like the barrier reefs of coral that are its symbol: unnoticeably but irresistibly spreading, encroaching on the sea's geography, acquisitively putting forth probes of living though rigid materialisation. Deity: Wind-god The Muruts, 49 wind-gods, lords of the NorthWest presided over by the Pavan, said to be the strongest, most obstinate of deities. This gives the ability to be distracted by any news. Primary motivation: artha-- reshaping the environment profoundly while also being affected by it Basic attribute: tamas-- although agitated and affected by outside developments, sometimes to the point of extinction, strives to maintain its own rhythms, loyalties, unique character and creeping spread; does not mingle or interfuse with any other entity although can be used by others; true socialization is absent. Makes its presence known in whirlwinds, hurricanes, tornadoes. third level: sattva-- because deity is Vayu, air, the pavan, the pranas, the breath-spirit flowing through the individual and around planet earth as its atmosphere, the concern is more for the spirit than the vessel. Kama-manas is the cosmic principle, the desire mind. Nakshatra dispositors (asterik for only those that apply in this individual's chart): Vimsottari system*: Rahu Dwadashottari system: Rahu Dwisaptatisama system: Rahu craving, a bodiless craving for knowledge that will promote the purposes of the individual. Physiologically, the winds of the body, pran, apan, vyan, udan and saman. Shodsottari system*: Venus Panchottari: Venus refinement, arts, and relationship, as presided over by Saraswati; promotion of the social code; reproduction that could be sexless, corresponding to the era of evolution told of by the sages when offspring were reproduced by the sweat, speech, ears, and in other non-sexual ways. The spirit is at the balance point(Libran) poised between the outer stony sheaths that have reached the limits of materiality and the inner sensitive and divine potential inclining to expansion. Astotari system: Mars: passion in every act, engrossment with the purposes of the self; the enthusiasm to feel that there will always be some reward for the self's strivings; emphatic desire for long-lasting condition of achievement. Shatabdik*: Moon despite all the self-centered dedication to growth, there is a mild, gentle, reflective outer presentation. There is an organic coherence and an ability to sell and buy, to engineer transactions so that each feels they get what they want. Chaturashiti: Sun The Sun gets debilitated in Swati; authority is constantly undermined or not taken seriously. As the self is crystallized and projected into its worldly experience, the spiritual force is diminished. Exalted Saturn instead shows both the hold of the material and the success of ascetic means as the path of return. Shastihayani system: Mercury Shat-trimsat-sama system*: Mercury Where the Sun insists on its centrality, Swati falls in the camp of Mercury, the bridge and messenger. Skilled and diplomatic speech and the presentation of non-threatening vitality and delicacy seen in its other symbol, the sprout quivering in the wind, appear. Thoughtful adaptation allows the Swati to thrive even in adverse circumstances, just as grass springs up through the paving-stones. Other characteristics: activity: passive--shapes itself in response to the environments caste: butcher--because of the predominance of tamasic planets Rahu, Mars, and Saturn's exaltation; does not hesitate to take apart others' concepts or creations to promote own point of view dissolution: laya, tries to dissipate and remove what is superfluous direction: level, sideways--at the midpoint of expansion and contraction, keeps its equipoise, good for leveling things or filling empty spaces. a natural trader and arbitrageur, bringing things back to equilibrium in all eventualities. gender: female--able to receive and evaluate nadi: kapha--pulse becomes like kapha in marital relations; Swati can naturally water, grease or lubricate in the give-and-take of ongoing relations because it has the feel of what is necessary for connection to continue nature: chara, movable or ephemeral--restless wind like inclination to be busy about one's affairs and to feel that territory is being covered sexual type: buffalo-- nomadic plains roamers and herbivores, sexuality per se subordinate to herd instincts and requirements gana, species: devata-- compatible with other devatas and humans tattva: fire-- of the navel level GRAHA ASPECTS: For this individual, Mars aspects Swati: urgency for knowing and doing; anger when thwarted in knowing or doing. Mars is Satya and there is a visceral force to the discovering of truth. NAKSHATRA ASPECTS: Probably the most important influence for this individual is the vedha of Jyestha on Swati (in Sarvatobadra Chakra). In Jyestha I have AK Jupiter retrograde stationing direct. This puts its backward drishti onto Swati. The influence of Guru becomes paramount. This adds a Sattvic imperative to all the self-centered activity described above. Also giving vedha/drishti are Rohini and Satabishak. Signs of potential difficulty when negatively tenanted by fast-speeding planets: Virgo, Gemini. I have Mars in Virgo, Venus in Gemini, but Venus is moving too slowly to affect. Mars is in medium to fast mode, so I need to check whether it impacts in Sarvatobadra Chakra from front or side. At normal, straight-on speed impacting signs are Scorpio, Sag, Cap. I don't have any planets in this category. Letters affecting are: backwards: lri straight-on ga (husband's name starts with this), ai (one of the names on my birth cert. starts with this but I was not ever called by it), e, ta forwards: ra, ou, va Lagna Nakshatra affecting DHI, intelligence ANURADHA Name's translation: Following Radha Anuradha begins at the extreme debilitation point of the Moon. Anuradha is that point where the mind reaches a nadir of self-definition and self-exertion. There is total helplessness and a feeling of being uncontained, as if drowning. Radha is a lightning flash representing the fragmented unit of self which is the microcosm. Radha as the attachment of the microcosm for the macrocosm represents the beloved of Lord Krishna who had to suffer much because of her separation from Him. Her devotion never wavers and carries her through the dark night. The symbol of Anuradha is the lotus flower which springs out of the lowness and nothingness of the mud and from the navel of Vishnu unfolds the stages of the creative process in perfect symmetry, petal by petal, life after life. Deity: Mitra, god of the light of day, paired with Varuna, god of the light of night. Mitra is the power of friendliness and cooperation bringing to light what has lasted through the pre-dawn darkness. Atharva Veda says Mitra uncovers what Varuna covers. Mitra helps to bring out the hidden talents and bless people's efforts and struggles through the turmoil involved in emerging from the dark. Mitra's benevolence encourages alliances and organizations. Mitra, like Radha, is steadfastly devoted to the cause. Anuradha retains a warmth of feeling toward all who help attain success. Primary motivation: Tamas, density and inertia. Lying in the Mars and Ketu-ruled sign of Scorpio. The mud of materiality has to be cleansed in water of emotion and then grow into the air of thought. Courage and endurance are required for facing hardships with unremitting effort. Courageous endurance for the sake of Divine Love is the keynote. Secondary level: Sattva. Within the pit or cave of Scorpionic darkness in mental obscurity having lost the way, Mitra comes as the light and savior. I have a friend named Gurumeet who often helps me out of tight spots. Third level: Tamas again. The constant polarity to light is the darkness, which refuses to depart easily. Nakshatra dispositors (asterik for only those that apply in this individual's chart): Vimsottari system*: Saturn Enemy of Scorpio's rulers, Saturn shows the depths of pain and despair possible when the Moon, the mind, has completely deserted one. Saturn shows the difficulties and miseries besetting the pilgrims when they have not completely surrendered. Discipline is the only help in progressing through the many challenges. Astottari system: Mercury Shatabdika system*: Mercury Shastihayani system: Mercury Mercury is the illegitimate offspring of Moon, the intellect serving as a bridge between the solar radiance informing the pure consciousness of the lunar levels and the active potential put to work on the earthy level ruled by Mercury. The shrewd practicality of the Scorpionic mind is shown here. Shodsottari system*: Mars Chaturashiti sama system: Mars In sthira karakas Mars is mother because it is the ovum, like the Hiranyagarbha, the golden egg of world potentiality waiting to be cracked open like the shell by the baby chick. All potential waits at the beck and call of Anuradha, needing only the command and determination of positive energy to put it to use. Dwadasottari system: Ketu The heat and tapas of Ketu when connected to Venus when intent on purifying relationship belongs here in Anuradha as well. Panchottari system: Sun Anuradha at the center of a fixed sign is one of the four pillars holding up the zodiac which is like the altar of the Sun. All four fixed-sign-center nakshatras are disposed by the Sun in this system: Anuradha, Satabhisha, Rohini and Purva Phalguni. Dwisaptati Sama system: Moon Where lords of one and seven exchange, the lords of satya peetham, Anuradha gets disposed by the Moon, which gives it its ultimate truth: no will, no reason, but Thine. Shat trimsat sama system*: Venus Anuradha is also related to Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, also symbolized by the lotus. On the lotus is seated Brahma, through whom flow all the goods of creation. Anuradha has the capacity to find the abundance of the universe. Other characteristics: activity: passive--fighting inertia, must learn to wait for genuine signals caste: shudra--service, manual labor, perhaps technical, construction, house building, because of Mars, Ketu and Saturn maintenance: stithi--tries to keep things together direction: sideways--midpoint between expansion and contraction gender: male nadi: pitta fieriness of Mars, hot-blooded nature: soft, mild or tender--good for making friends and being agreeable sexual type: deer--goes along with mildness species: divine--better off avoiding asura types tattva: fire--Mars/Ketu influence GRAHA ASPECTS: none NAKSHATRA ASPECTS: Vishakha with planets at high speed aspects Anuradha. Vishakha and Anuradha used to be considered part of one sign in ancient days and some commentators still give both the shared symbol of the archway. Straight on, Aslesha aspects, and this is significant as here I have Sun and Mercury. This involves me with jyotish and intellectual activities in general, also business like agency and trading. Bharani aspects looking back, and here I have Rahu. In Rahu dashas this can create issues over do's and don'ts. Signs impacting are Scorpio backwards, and since I have retrograde stationary Jupiter in Scorpio, this will be exercising influence over Dhi, Anuradha, as well as Manas, Swati. Also Aries sign, and again the influence of Rahu, giving difficulties in its dashas. Letters with impact are lri, ta, ra, pa, tta, ma and oo, straight on. I will have to watch for their baneful impact in future! I do have scars inflicted by a cat whose name started with P. From reverse, vedhas are given by na, and la. Dangerous days when planets retrograde in them are Thursday, Friday. Dangerous tithis if malefics in them: jaya and rikta tithis. Tithis 3, 8, 13, and 4, 9, 14. Again, I will have to observe. Thank you for the opportunity to do this study. Rag Aasa, Guru Nanak dev ji Dupade Tit sarvararai bheile nivaasa pani pavak tinaih kiaa Pankaj moh pag nahi chalai ham dekhaa tah dhubhiale In the world-pool the mortal has come to a home where He has made it in water and fire In the mire of worldly love his feet move on not; I've seen him drowning there Sat Nam, Sat Siri Kaur
