Dear Sanjay

Retro Planets affects previous houses has been used by many eminent astrologers ( Shri KN Rao has used in his books extensively).Chesta Bal increases many folds may be this shows that it tries to gives result (chesta) for more houses than normal besides other interpretetions.

Eight motions of planets as described by Parasara with respects to Sun's distance w.r.t. bhavas.

It is used in Mundane prediction mentioned by various panchang, i am not aware about the real technique, Sarvatobadra chakra and other chakras which are used for Mundane prediction.

In Natal chart and Gochara I dont used any special aspects of planets.

I have observed that If planet is atichari in gochara (transit), It fails to give result of the bhava in which it is situated.

Best result of the bhava is obtained if planet is in normal speed (mand, mandater, sama, char).

Though better understanding can be there after going through Astakvarge.

Best Wishes,

Vijay Goel

Academically it would be great help if you could present shloka fromclassic. I do understand that some dictums are not directly available. Iwill be very happy to even see a good interpretation of existing shlokas. The nearest thing to this from my memory is about Latta (Kicks or ankle hitsof Graha) called Purva lattas. This is from I think is Sarvotobhadra transitanalysis, I think Phaladeepika mentions this. But in my understanding thesebackward count for nakshatra is different than aspects. Since I have not yetlearnt about these I cannot say much.Another question which I always want to ask is, There is eight kinds ofmotion as per ParasharaCh 27.12 /RSantanam edition/Eight kinds of motions are attributed to Grahas. These are 1. Vakr (retrogression), 2. Anuvakr (entering the previous Räsi in retrograde motion), 3. Vikal (devoid of motion), 4. Mand (somewhat slower motion than usual), 5. Mandatar (slower than the previous), 6. Sama (somewhat increasing in motion), 7. Char (faster than Sama) and 8. Atichar (entering next Räsi in accelerated motion). The strengths, allotted due to such 8 motions are 60, 30, 15, 30, 15, 7.5,45 and 30.I would be happy if any one can clearly explain the above motions. And, Ifthe drishti changes with each type of Vakra motionWarm RegardsSanjay P
