Dear Jyotisha,

Here is my answer ,I hope the example chart isnt to confusing but since it

contained so many features I decided to use it.

 

Tutorial question 2.What is Pravrajya Yoga?

Pravrajya yogas are yogas for renunciation.There are a number of yogas for

renunciation, but we are concerning ourselves with the one described in our

lesson,

 

" When there are benefic planets in the 6th from the Arudha lagna,this gives

spiritualism,renunciation. "

In the example chart there are 3 benefics.

 

" A malefic in the 6th from the Arudha lagna gives some material

prosperity,success in battles.

In the example chart there is one malefic.

 

Malefics AND benefics give mixed results and " the native is churned between the

materialistic world and spiritualism.If the benefic planet is not only afflicted

by a malefic,but is also weak by being in debility in Rasi or navamsa,a powerful

Vipareeta yoga is generated. "

 

I wasnt sure if you were expecting an example of simply a Pravrajya Yoga or of a

Vipareeta and Pravraja yoga together, so I think I found one with both.

 

Im just learning these concepts so I hope I got it right.

In the following example we have powerful Yogas for mant different things but we

will concern ourselves with our interest from the tutorial.

EXAMPLE OF VIPAREETA AND PRAVRAJYA YOGA -with mixed results.

 

Lagna-Libra

5th house-Aq/Mars

6th.-pis/Ketu

7th.aires/Sat.

8th.tau/7'Jup., 12'Sun, 22'Ven., 28'Moon.

9th.gem/Merc.

12th.virgo/Rahu

 

Atmakaraka planet is Moon. Arudha lagna is Sag.

 

Vipareeta Yoga-Lords of dusthanas residing in dusthanas. Here 3rd,6th,8th lords

conjoined in dusthana 8th house with Ac.and 8th lord(Venus) in own sign.

 

" The important condition for the fructification of this Raja Yoga is that the

planets involved should either be weakened by placement in a dusthana. "

 

Jup,Venus,And Moon are in a dusthana.

Jup. is weak in taurus and close to sun.It is in own sign pisces in 4th of Nav.

Moon is exal.but weak near Sun.2nd day waxing.

Sun is weak in taurus in Rasi, but Ex. in 5th inNav.

Venus is in cancer in 8th in Nav.

 

In Addition:pg 1. " whereas malefic planets so placed(3rd and 6th from Arudha

Lagna )that are weak or debilitated, will cause VIPAREETA PRAVRADJA YOGA and the

native will become spiritual.

 

We should check OTHER indications to show if these yogas will manifest for a

spiritual person, renunciate and raja Yogas.

NOTE: That many of these yogas are repeated from Chandra/Solar Charts with lagna

lord strong in own sign.With Moon Ex.also.

 

In regards to pg 1.#3.Re: Sat as yogakaraka.

In Chandra and Solar Charts with Taurus in Lagna,Sat.-Yogakaraka is deb.in

aires, in a dusthana the 12th-aspecting another dusthana the 6th.

 

 

IN RASI Chart: Sat.Neecha in aires from the 7th aspects AC. Also, in Nav.Sat

is in lagna in sag.aspecting 7th and 10th houses.

Merc. 12th lord is Ex. in the 9th.

The 9th lord in the 9th.

Sat.4th/5th lord (Yogakaraka planet for libra), is aspecting Ac. and 9th house

and lord.

In Nav.-9th lord Sun is exalt.in 5th., Jup is in own sign,Pis in 4th in Nav.

 

There are many more things to comment on but for now I hope I have shown both a

Vipareeta and Pravraja yogas with mixed influences.

P.S.

Incidently, this native is a disciple of H.D.Grace Srila Prabhupada.He spent

many years serving him,lived as a renunciate for many years,traveled the

world,opened temples.He still rises early, chants Hare Krsna and is steadfastly

devoted to his spiritual master.

Srila Prabhupada gave him a position of leadership.This happened in his

Jup.(GURU)maha dasa.

After Srila Prabhupada left his body,his reputation grew ,but was short lived as

Sat.Maha Dasa began.It then was lost to a large extent.Sat.is not directly

involved in Vip.yoga.

He married in Sat.and had nice devalike children. He maintains a seperate

dwelling,cooks his own prasad,practices sense control and chants regularly.He

owns few possessions,although he gets to live in nice surroundings with his

Deities.He teaches others about spiritual life.

He has had a life of EXTREME highs and lows.
