Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Anantarupa prabhu, Hare Krishna > Is the following understanding of argala correct? > > That: > > Benefic planets in the second, fourth or eleventh from a house boost its > significations > and promises. Such supportive influence can be obstructed by malefic > planets in the twelfth, > tenth or third from the house. For instance: If Jupiter is in house two, it > boosts the prospects > of the first house by way of argala but if Rahu is in house twelve at the > same time then Jupiter can > only benefit house 1 if it is stronger than Rahu. Is this correct? As per Parashara not only subha grahas can cause Argala. Malefic planets can also cause, and it's called Paapargala. A few thoughts: A subhargala obstructed by a malefic will indicate some malicious person preventing you from getting a good effect. A subhargala onstructed by a benefic would indicate that a benevolent person saves you from a good effect thinking it to be harmful for you A paapargala obstructed by a benefic would indicate a well-wisher saving you from some bad effect. A paapargala obstructed by a malefic would indicate a malicious person attacking some other person who wnats to do harm to you, thus incidentally defending you. The effect of Argala/obstruction should be judged according to the rules given by Jaimini. Similarly for Bandana yoga you should compare the strengths of the two sides and judge the malefic/benefic dispositions. Fir example a bandhana yoga caused on the Paka Lagna by two strong benefics may indicate keeping the native in hospital or other health institution.
