Guest guest
Dear members, I have some how got the information (ofcourse from questionable sources) that Shodasi Mantra cannot be practiced/pronunced. Shodasi mantra out of all the Dasa Mahavidya mantras can only be given by a Guru and then can it only be practiced. How much of it is true and if so, why Shodasi (a sixteen year old) mantra is the rarest out of mantras of more ugra rupas like Kali and Tara? Any views? Thanks Souvik
Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna The 16 years of Shodasi are the 16 kalas of the Moon, the path to the Mind/Mother's complete fullness. It relates to the maturity of Jupiter at 16. It relates to the attainment of perfection in the 16 varga charts, and the ability of the jyotishi to read these 16 charts (parts of life) perfectly. Remember that the 16 year old form is representative, all these vedic/puranic/tantric stories are representative of so much more in the eye of jyotish. Jyotish is the eye. Practice the Parampara mantra, they are trees from the same seed.
