Question on Sanjayji's Lecture on mantra bija

I was listening to your lecture about making the prayogh with ones

horoscope. It was really very interesting. At the end of the lecture

you said one has to offer it to once istha devata. If istha devata is

vishnu we can keep a vishnu murti in water and offer.

If someone has shiva as istha devata then what procedure should be

followed?
