Namaste Sri Goel ji,

 

It was a pleasure to read your reply to my article on Vajpayee's swearing-in

chart in EST of Feb 2000! A few points:

 

(1) I did not understand what you meant by " Vimsottari-Harmonic " dasa (points

3 and 4 below). I was talking about normal Vimsottari dasa.

 

(2) We differ on which sunrise should be used for horalagna. Based on my

practical experiments with ghatilagna and horalagna in varga charts, I am

inclined towards accepting the apparent rise of upper limb as the sunrise to

be used when finding horalagna and ghatilagna. You are obviously convinced

otherwise. I want to bury this difference of opinion under the respect I have

for your scholarship.

 

(3) Based on Vajpayee's chart and BJP's chart, I too had written (in an old

EST issue) that a period of 2-2.5 years from Aug 99 would be a golden period

for Vajpayee.

 

The article in question was based just on the new muhurta. I too wrote: " BJP

party’s chart shows that its good fortunes will continue for sometime to come.

So let us hope that the defects in the swearing-in muhurta will only result in

temporary disturbances. " .

 

Whether the govt falls or not, there are bad indications in Makara's shoola

dasa (Aug 2000-Jan 2001). War or troubles from terrorists or an assassination

is a possibility, if the govt doesn't fall.

 

I really hope that they will be able to take the remedial measures I indicated

(praying to Ganesa and constructing a Ganesa temple in an area with marsh

lands).

 

BTW, I read your excellent article on " Upagrahas " in the latest issue of

" Jyotish News " . Thank you for writing it!
