Guest guest
Namaste friends, I am happy to announce Jagannatha Hora Lite 2.0. The purpose of this release is mainly to give some flexibility in upagraha calculation. The following features were added in 2.0. (1) Option for Vyatipata calculation: (a) Vyatipata = 360 deg - Dhuma, (b) Vyatipata = Dhuma + 53 deg 20 min. (2) Mandi is added! For Mandi, Gulika and other upagrahas like Kala & Mrityu, user can now select whether they rise at the beginning or middle or end of the corresponding portion (Gulika & Mandi - Saturn's portion, Kaala - Sun's portion, Mrityu - Mars' portion etc). This option should enable researchers to experiment a lot! (3) Shadbala problems fixed (Tribhaga bala and drig bala) (4) Background color changed to Jupiter's color (same as RDD's background color) (5) Recognizes when the input file is invalid and does not open it (1.1 will crash sometimes if you open a file with invalid data deliberately written into it by you) (6) Some more minor problems fixed (7) A rudimentary ability to copy charts as Windows bitmaps (for including in a Word document, for example) (8) File extension of Jagannatha Hora Data file type was changed to *.jhd (from *.dat). Still old *.dat files can be opened and changed. Download it from http://www.geocities.com/~astrowhiz/jhoral/jhoral.zip If you download it to the same directory as before and set the same working directory, you should be able to access old files easily. Then remove the file type associated with *.dat using the instructions that come up when you run the program for the first time. Those instructions can also be found on the above page. After this, JHLite icon should not be seen with *.dat files and it should be seen only with *.jhd files. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
