EXERCISE 1: Consider a native with the following birthdata.

November 19, 1917

Time: 23:03:00

Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)

Longitude: 81 E 52' 00 "

Latitude: 25 N 28' 00 "

Find the progressed Sun on June 26, 1975 using dasamsa progression.

Find the natal planets/lagnas/sahams closely touched by him. What

kind of results are possible in career?

 

The Sun's position is 4Sc06 in this chart. From Nov 19, 1917 to Nov

19, 1974 is 57 years. From Nov 19 to June 26 is 7 months and 7 days

(219 days). Using dasamsa progression (i.e. 3 degrees per year), 57.6

x 3 = 172.80 degrees was progressed from 4Sc06, i.e. 26Ar14 In

Aries, he had his Ghatika Lagna and Arudha Lagna in the tenth house

in rasi chart. Fifth from Aries, he has Mars in Leo, and in Ninth he

has Venus and Rahu in Saggitarius. Now being GL & AL together, he had

a chance to prove what he could be (AL) with the power and fame(GL).

From Lagna, he has Sun and Mercury in trines and Exchange of Saturn

and Moon in Lagna and in the seveth. He must have had an opportunity

to become some kind of head in the government?? (Sun in the 10th

house) and also (AL in the tenth house)!!

Please correct me.

 

 

 

EXERCISE 2: Consider a native with the following birthdata.

August 7, 1963

Time: 21:14:50

Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)

Longitude: 83 E 58' 00 "

Latitude: 21 N 27' 00 "

Guess approximately when he got married.

 

The native has Sun at 6Cn21 in his rasi chart. Upapada is in

Saittarius with AL in the tenth house. For navamsa(3.33 degrees per

yar) Jupiter is in 26Pi08 in Ascendant. So let us try in the seventh

house oppposite to Jupiter(26Vi08). To progress from 6Cn21 to 26Vi08,

it is 79.13 degrees. It comes to about 23.76 years?? (May 1987)

Another possibility is of venus. Venus is in 14Cn55. So let us say

from 14Cn55 (90 degrees), which is 14Li55. The sun is in 6Cn21. So it

takes 90+8.34 degrees=98.34 degrees. Considering 3.33 degrees per

year, it would take 29.53 years, which is February of 1998.??

According to indian tradition, this age seems to fit more in question.
