Guest guest
Pranaam Sanjay, As I said, my knowledge in dreamology is zero. I read the brilliant interpretations by Gauranga, Vijay and YND with great interest. I was fascinated that even a small dream had a well-defined sequence of events and wondered whether they can be timed using a dasa. Prasna marga deals with swapna prasna and not swapna chakra itself. What you gave wasn't a swapna prasna, but it was the swapna chakra itself. On thought, it made sense to treat it as a muhurta chart. Just as the fortune of a 5-year term of a Vajpayee government started at a muhurta can be timed using compressed dasas of that chart, I thought that the timing of events in a dream can be found from compressed dasas of the dream chart. The chart you gave shows the beginning a temporary new existence for your subconscious self and it made sense to me to think that the events within that existence should follow a compressed dasa. Of course, I did not find the exact durations of dasas because the paramayush to which dasas should be compressed is not known. I just wanted to look at the sequence of dasas and link them to different events roughly. I first tried Vimsottari dasa. Things did not make sense. Of course, we can always explain things with vague logic, but I wasn't satisfied. Then I realized that many planets are in lagna (and Moon) and so I tried Kendradi Graha dasa. Then I could see some nice links between dasas and events. I want to submit the analysis for your (and others') consideration. My criticism of the points by others applies to my analysis too. This is merely speculation by me. Order of dasas is: Mars, Moon, Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Ketu, Rahu and Mercury. The first dasa belongs to Mars. Mars owns 7th and occupies lagna. So this dasa involved your wife's interaction with you (7th). Being in the 2nd from 12th, Mars can stop a dream. Her words (why are you sleeping so late? Get up) have a little Martian attitude too. Next dasa is of Moon. He owns 3rd and he is exalted in lagna. This gives some enthusiasm, curiosity and anticipation. You woke up and went to the drawing room then. In Sun dasa, you found Shiva Linga. Sun associated with Ta, Venus and exalted Moon shows the milk-white form of Shiva. Taurus can show a drawing room. However, Sun dasa was relatively short. Then Venus dasa started. Venus lying so close to Sun shows people in awe of Shiva Linga. Venus is the planet that shows awe. Then came Jupiter dasa. Jupiter owns A5 and he is in Saisava avastha in lagna. His dasa can show a sishya (A5) and an astrologer (Jupiter). Jupiter is with Sun in his moolatrikona in D-20 and so Ashok (Jupiter) was praying to Shiva. Next was Saturn dasa. Saturn shows masses and commotion. Here he is in 12th (close neighborhood). So this shows commotion in the neighborhood. Then we have Ketu dasa. Ketu is in a trine from Sun. Ketu may show a huge deity (being in the 9th house of Gods). Then comes Rahu dasa. Rahu can show heat. This dasa involves devotees labouring to get ladders etc. Rahu shows pilgrims and he also shows manual labourers. Finally we have the dasa of 5th lord Mercury. Mercury represents young people. Here he is the 5th lord from lagna and Jupiter. He represents your son. He is the only planet with a strong argala on Sun and he went and touched Shiva. He is in the 3rd sign of the natural zodiac (Ge), which stands for coomunication. Moreover, Mercury is a communicator. So he started to speak. However, Rahu in the 2nd house from Mercury did not let your son finish speaking. So his trying speak brought curtains on the dream. Moreover, Mercury is the 2nd lord in 2nd and a strong maraka for this lagna. So this temporary existence of your subconscious self (i.e. dream) ended in Mercury dasa. This is just speculation, but I thought you might find this analysis interesting. When extending the teachings of maharshis to situations they did not explicitly talk about, we can only speculate. I will try to apply this to other dreams. Your sishya, Narasimha
