We get the same longitude for lagna, but I get Rahu at about

16:53:31. That does put Ketu in Cancer in D-27.

 

You must have used the so-called " true nodes " !! Please verify

your settings (assuming PL allows you to).

 

Just a while ago, I answered questions from two different people

on vedic astrology list about mean vs true nodes and Sanjay also

sent a mail.

 

The so-called " true nodes " (a bad and misleading name actually)

are the default setting in most programs, but they are not to be

used. They are not always retrograde. But the karmic planets Rahu

and Ketu are supposed to be always retrograde. Only mean nodes

have that behavior. Also using mean nodes gives much better

results with varga Narayana dasas.

 

FYI, our dear Gurudev also recommends mean nodes. It is my strong

recommendation too. All of you kindly change to mean nodes, if

you aren't already using them. Beware - many programs use true

nodes by default and you may be using them unknowingly!
