Guest guest
Om Ganeshaya Namah Jai Jai Sri Jagannath Dear Gauranga, The list that I gave was a general list indicative of the deities represented by each planet as brought out by Maharishi Parasara as followed during those times. A subsequent mail from Narasimha also showed some modifications which highlight even more clearly how different persons have different Ishta Devatas (stretching beyond this list of principle deitiship). The ultimate goal is Narayana (or Maha Vishnu). Rahu represents the " Varaha Avataar " of Maha Vishnu. Praying Sri Varaha should definitely be alright as far as I think. Sanjay ji can throw more light into it, if required. Is this your chart? > > Yes it is, but I will look for these details in other devotees' charts as well, as they often question about their spiritual advancement. As much as the Ishta Devata is concerned, is it all right if I mention them the Vaikunhta Avatar in charge of that planet instead of teh demigod? Like if someone has Ishta Devata under Rahu " s influence, then it would be Durga as per Sarat's list. But if they worship Varahadeva for Rahu, is this beneficial as well? ISKCON devotees usually do not worship Durga, You know. > > Your shishya, > > Gauranga das > > > ------ > HARI OM TAT SAT > Jaya Jagannatha Mahaprabhu > >
