No dispute on helping people, that is the one and only objective of Jyotish.

If friends come to me with life problems, and they are troubled i will do what i can to help.

Yes you should help. But, after learning Jyotish completely. That's what I am telling we should first concentrate on learning. Without learning we should not step into advising people.

There are many frauds and inexperienced astrologers out there. I didnt want any false hopes raised so i came to this group.Yes i am aware that the majority of the memebers are students and only the gurus are qualified to post a reply in detail.And i was awaiting the reply of any of the gurus, i know my own guru would reply to it.

Many people approach us with lots of problems, we don't have the time to discuss all those things. We are surrounded by people with problems only. A week back two specialised doctors approached me with major problems. One wanted to do total hip replacement surgery for her and she wanted to know whether she can do or not at this time. Another one wants to buy a Hospital with huge investment, the decision will change her entire life and its going to decide having marriage at the age of 45 years etc., So, if we started to bring those things here, our primary objective of Learning will be hampered. We are around 60 in this list, if everyone posts one such a question, then we cannot concentrate on learning.If we can discuss the members own charts in detail as well as charts of others that the gurus present, i dont see why we have to limit our curiousity and learning to only those charts.

The charts are analysed for learning purpose. When analysing the charts, we make mistakes and we may try to alter the lagna etc., But, we do not predict anything for the charts analysed including the members chart. No responsibility is attached on the outcome of the results. Whereas, when you post a question on life events of others, somebody is waiting at the other end eagerly to get an accurate answer. See, recently, some charts are posted with puzzle, it is an exercise, where the results are known by the one who posted. I kindly request that if i post a chart that we dont concentrate on the negative things, like whether i am possibly after a 'free' reading, and that whoever is interested looks on it as a learning experience. I go extreme lengths to make sure the birth data is accurate, and thats also why i included a brief summation of the individuals.I think we can only benefit by having as many charts that show a wide a field of events as possible.The list has been very quiet this month, 166 postings compared to 466 last month.I am saddened by the fact that if i had posted my own chart with my own problems there would be no questions raised by any of the memebers. I see it as selfish to confine my learning and research to my own chart, when i know the details of others lives around me who are suffering and in need of guidance more than me.

I don't think any member has posted their problem and asked for solutions. They often say "so and so chapter of the BPHS or COVA tells like this, but my chart differs from the dictum, can you please clarify". This is sort of learning with our own chart. We often compare our own charts, the reason is we know more about us than any body else in the world. So our analysis can be verified. Otherwise, we have to go back to the native and verify each and everything. There is no selfishness involved here.

As for proper salutations, forgive any disrespect but again i asumed this was an informal group with informal teaching and learning, so i didnt think it was very neccessary.And lastly my guru explicitly told me to post any charts on which i had queries so that the group may look at it.No offence intendedLoveJaan Thanks

Dear Jaan,

Don't get disappointed. Send one chart by one, and we ll do our best to

help.Try to understand..I am currently answering 10 charts, on GJ list

and via private email..we all have our daily obligations..So, please be

patient,and send

one chart at a time.. For a start, give your own opinion on the matter,

and others

will join.. It is also important that you try to learn as much as you

can, so you

should have both books of Pt. Sanjay Rath, and study them in detail.You

should also

review all the articles from SJVC. Very soon, Narasihma book will be on

release, so

some basis will be covered. I am attaching in the next email, all

Sanjay's emails

from the archives in a word document, not so orderly, but very helpful..

PS. Our Gurudev Sanjay Rath, doesn't usually look at his sisya charts,

unless something

is very, very important and urgent. He explained to me that as his

sisyas,and Jyotish Gurus

we all have to deeply ponder into our charts,and in case of some

problems, than we should

contact him, or your jyotish guru..So, don't get disappointed, try

yourself first, and then

tell your doubts/conclussions to the list, and ask for a help. The

process of learning is

continual. You should learn, we should learn, and a person should get a

help...
