Guest guest
Dear Narasimha, Dear Sarajit, I will answer this instead of Gurudev. Sarajit: Thanks a lot. You have every right to do so. These questions are posed before the list. > for the formation of the yoga is it necessary that the longitude of the faster > moving planet is less than that of Slower moving planet? No. Sarajit: Sorry I could not put my question as intended to. I meant the longitude of the planets in a particular sign and not in the 360 deg. zodiac. If Jupiter is at 5 deg in Ar and Mercury at 3 deg in Le, they have an ithasala yoga. Though Jupiter's longitude is below Mercury's longitude, Mercury's advancement in his sign (3 deg) is LESS than Jupiter's (5 deg).So they have ithasala yoga. Sarajit: According to Dr. B.V.Raman the faster planet should be moving backward of the slower moving planet. But in this illustration mecury is ahead of Jupiter. Had mercury been placed in Aries and Jupiter in Leo and with 3deg and 5deg respectively the conditions for Ithasala have been fulfilled. If Jupiter is at 3 deg in Le and Mercury at 5 deg in Ar, they have an easarpha yoga. Though Jupiter's longitude is above Mercury's longitude, Mercury's advancement in his sign (5 deg) is MORE than Jupiter's (3 deg). So they have easarpha (a bad yoga - opposite of ithasala). Sarajit: This may be but this is different from what I have mentioned above where Jupiter's advancement in the sign is more than that of Mercury. But be careful with retrograde planets and planets about to become retrograde or direct. Judging Tajaka yogas in such cases is trickier! Sarajit: Can you illustrate Basically remember it like this: If two planets are about to have an EXACT aspect (trinal, sextile, square etc), i.e. if exact aspect will take place in very near future, THEN we have ithasala yoga. Sarajit: According to Dr. B.V.Raman the yoga can be forming, separating and complete (exact longitude). He again said that in order that for the yoga to occur the deepthamsas should intermingle or in other word the orbs of the planets should overlap. Can we say separating ithasala as easarpha?
