Meanwhile, here is how I came up with my 10 lord A.N. ruler: 10th lord Saturn is at 16 deg 5 min. I convert the minutes into a decimal so that I can add minutes to degrees. 5/60 = 1/5 = .20. There is no remainder. So Saturn is at 16.2 degrees, and the Ardha Nadiamsa is 162. At first I did not round up to 163 as I believe this would still be considered the 162nd as the remainder is zero. However, I now realize that I did not convert the seconds, and there are seconds, so I guess I should round up, which would make the A.N. ruler the sun. If I round up to 163, the ruler is sun. According to COVA, sun can indicate medicine (as well as the more well known associations like government). Sun is in the 3rd in Gemini; I do as much teaching as I do practicing so maybe this could work for my chart. Rahu aspects by graha dristi, bringing in the research. In D-10 Sun is in lagna in Virgo, aspected by Ketu, Rahu, Venus, Saturn and moon by rasi dristi, and Jupiter by graha dristi in the 9th. In D-9 sun is in the 5th in trines to AK Mercury which is in Virgo lagna. (Rahu is also in trines, bringing in the research part you mentioned). So please let me know if this is correct.
