Guest guest
Dear Yasomatinandana and Gauranga, Please accept my humble obeisances; all glories to Srila Prabhupada -- Re: Kalachakra dasa: It is a vast subject, and truly descriptive of the genius of Parasara, although originally it emanated from the mouth of Lord Shiva, Who spoke it to Parvati. It is the " King of dasa systems " , according to Parasara himself. It is indeed curious why it is at this point in time seldom used by current practising astrologers. Sri Narasimha Rao has done milestone work in reviving the study and use of KCD, and in fact you can download an excellent tutorial on it from his web site. Also, the following book is excellent, if you are interested in studying KCD: " Yogini and Kalachakra Dasas " , by Sumeet Chugh. You can get it at http://www.astroamerica.com Try, at first, to understand the schemology behind the two groups of naksatras, Savya and Apasavya, as well as the corresponding order of Navamsas which make up the dasa scheme. Once you understand the logic behind its calculation, then study the use of the dasa, as *both* a Rasi as well as Graha dasa system. In my experience thus far, KCD has been invaluable in its accuracy to illustrate events. Of course, given its sensitivity to birth time errors (an error of one minute in TOB, for example can make the dasas as much as two months off), you will need to use KCD itself to rectify the birth time. Anyway, it is a great study, and all serious students of Jyotish should study it as part of their knowledge base of dasa systems. Study the materials mentioned above carefully, and if after that you have questions, I or Narasimha can be of help. With regards, Robert ===================================== Robert A. Guest guest
Namaste Sanjay ji, Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. Much appreciated. --aphoton Sanjay Rath wrote: Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya Dear Aphton Yes it is leap, but not as bad as that from Pisces to Scorpio. Being a TRINE jump, the gati (movement is called) SIMHA-valokana. Hope you realise that perhaps the calculations are not very accurate and that KCD is too sensitive to touch till we are very thorough with the ayanamsa etc. With best wishes Sanjay Rath http://sanjayrath.tripod.com <http://sanjayrath.tripod.com > aphoton [aphoton] Sunday, July 21, 2002 9:15 PM vedic astrology ; varahamihira [Hare Rama Krishna] Kalachakra Dasa I would like to ask a question of the Gurus or anyone knowledgeable in Kalachakra Dasa. How would the KD of Sagittarius/ Pisces (Deha) followed by Sagittarius/Cancer (Jeeva) for a Capricorn ascendant person be? Is the passage from Pisces to Cancer considered one of the leaps? The person is having a very difficult and uncertain time in his profession. Thank you in advance. --aphoton OM TAT SAT Archive: varahamihira Files: varahamihira varahamihira/database
