Guest guest
HARE RAMA KRISHNA Namaste Frank, There are exception in calculating the Arudha lagna and here they are. You must also use the dual lordships of Scorpio (Mars and Ketu) and Aquarius (Saturn and Rahu). You must determine which ruler is stronger and count from there. That is how JHL does it. Your AL is Pisces and not Virgo! Ketu is stronger that Mars. Will answer your other questions tomorrow night. All the best, Brendan ** Determining the Arudha Lagna - Consider the house for which arudha pada has to be found. Find its lord. Count signs from the house to its lord. Count the same number of signs from lord. - The resulting house is the arudha or pada of the original house. ** Important Exceptions (BPHS, Ch 29, Slk 4-5): - If the lord of the house is in the same house, then the 10th therefrom becomes the Arudha (e.g., Jupiter in Sagittarius lagna, Virgo is Arudha lagna). - If the lord a house is in the 7th, then the 10th becomes the Arudha, i.e., the 4th from the original house. - If the lord of the house be in the 4th, then the 4th itself becomes the Arudha (e.g., Sagittarius lagna, Jupiter in Pisces in 4th, then Pisces becomes the Arudha). - If the lord of the house is in the 10th, the Arudha becomes the 4th.
