Shall we have to wait another three weeks to Mercury get direct to gain His association and communication again? Yes, I guess better wait for him for this answers. > > > In a book of David Frawley 5th is explained as a place > > of Ishta Devata. Now 5th is PUTRA. So are all the other demigons. Surya expamds from Narayana, Siva is from Sadasiva, or Adwaita Acharya. For him it must be some combination of Sun and Mercury, which appears quite a lot. Venus and Moon may represent either Radharani or Laxmi, or Durga as Their further expansion. Sun and Moon may represent Gaura-Nitai. Venus and Jupiter linked may give Gaura-Gadadhara. > For Lord Caitanya I was told to see Mercury, Jupiter and Sun. Krishna is represented by the Moon. Govardhan Sila is Radha-Krishna combined. So look for Moon-Venus relation. but it's a bery rare soul who takes up Giriraja's worship and is able to maintain it. Salagramas are usually Vishnu, so Mercury or Jupiter. May be oters of courlse, like Narasimha (Mars) or Rama (Sun) etc. > Thank you for this. Really nice explanations. > As regadring Ishta devata, I would think tha it's better to stick to one (that is seen from tha 12th to Karakamsha) as the main deity, or maybe Klua devata is the other. This may be likened to the temple deity for a devotee who lives in a community. His personal longings may differ, still, he worships the temple deity. Some do it directly, others from a distance. But if we take up the custom of worshippig this deity ofr this, that deity for that etc., then we might easily become hindus, or mipersonlaists or pancopasakas, call it as you wish. It's always better to stick with one master. > Yes. I also think that way. Sanjay is my jyotish guru and I stick to him in those metters. However even though I was connected to Iskcon and some other Gaudiya Vaisnava associations I was not initiated either in diksa mantras or harinama. So am in fact in a search for a guru within our understanding of siddanta. Since venus is my BK and is in 12th from AK in D-9 and represents Radha definitely I somehow think that I will find a guru during this subperiod of Venus. 1st day of it brought me into Sanga list of Swami Tripurari. Some further toughts on AK and other matters. If we take that we have to get rid of Karma and attain Krishnas lotus feet through meditation and in such a way dissasociate ourselves from the body then 12th from AK in Navamsa can represent exactly this, that is blessings of Sri Guru(9th division) or God for ending(12th house) of karma(AK) through personal experience of spiritual energy connected to devata of 12th house. Since it is 9th division(outer representing the body) ketu there can indicater rejection(ketu) of further samsara. While without ketu we might have a rebirth, like for example as some devotees long to be reborn in Krishna's pastimes where he's got them right now. My venus indicates exactly that. > I hope this helps a bit. > > However I'm also interested in combinations for Jagannath, Sudarshan and especially Lord Nityananda. > I was told by Sanjay that sun and mercury would indicate Jagannatha Vesa. See his combination of mercury aspected by sun and moon. > Yours, Gauranga das > Zavisa
