Namaste Minu,

 

There was an assignment on the Lagna sign. It was during the 1st or 2nd week of September 2000. If you go through the various answers by the students and the comments by Gurudeva for some of the answers, you can find a lot of information on the Lagna and houses at various signs.

 

When the lagna occupies a sign, naturally, the signs of other houses are fixed. So, our assignment was concentrating on the various traits attached to a particular lagna sign. Those traits are based on the lagna & other houses falling on different signs.

 

To my understanding, the signs are fixed and not variable like planets. Hence, the signs, shows the basic composition (Mental, Physical) of a native. These get altered based on the planets occupied in the houses and the placement of the lords of those houses.
